Second, when I read that the attacker was in FL AND had a sword, I thought it might have been Boar. Then when I saw he demanded cash and drugs and not just cheat codes for Travian, I ruled it out and let it go.

    Those were the days ..

I wonder how many RBSD 'schools' cover a sword-weilding attacker in their role plays?

A weapon is a weapon. If you train right then you understand that a stick a kinfe a flashlight or a sword. Are all going to use the same basic mechanics for violence.

So if you study basic mechanics of a stick, then the only difference is length and whether or not it's sharp. If the attacker is using them properly you'd not want to be struck by either.

So a short knife is the same as a sword is the same as a stick?!

            .....

Are you one of those types who thinks training with a knife (good idea) makes you a champion boxer when you don't have the knife in your hand? I hope not.

                WTF is that second part???

You have to know how to use your empty hand before you can put something in it.

A better question would be are you one of those types that thinks that because you've tackled men before that its safe to tackle men with knives? Cause that's your M.O., jubidoo.

Yet another question would be what skills does a wrestler gain through practicing ONLY wrestling that would equip him to deal with ANY kind of violence without having to tackle or clinch it?

What skills does a kickboxer gain through practicing ONLY kickboxing that would equip him to deal with ANY kind of violence without having to kickbox it?

What skills does a BJJ player gain through practicing ONLY BJJ that would equip him to deal with ANY kind of violence without having to ground grapple it?

The answers are self evident, but you and people like you here seem to believe that learning and doing a specific thing makes it more than it is simply because you worked hard at it. You fancy ideas like hammers being screwdrivers and wrenches being crowbars but in the end, the extent of your ability is suplexing a man who had already produced a knife ... a move even you say was stupid ... yet its all you had because with all your love of so-called adapting to situations ... all you could do was pretend that the knife wasn't there in order to go forward and execute a basic high school sport move that was NEVER designed to keep you safe when dealing with violence. It was meant to be used when dealing with ONE other guy who is using the SAME moves.

So like I asked, what else does one get out of wrestling but wrestling?

So, someone who has 'trained' at a rbsd place for a few months is as good with his hands as an accomplished boxer?

Have you been reduced to bold-faced lies yet again, little bitch?

Take a person with years of experience in any of those vs someone who has 'trained' at a rbsd place for a few months. Which do you think more likely to have had significant personal experience with violent situations on the street?
