Ugh, get over yourself, it WAS about poorly phrased lines, which I already admitted would be bad advice if you take them out of context. They were passing comments that started from a ninja joke, and when you decided to nitpick them, I clarified what I meant (that they are real life examples pointing to a type of motivation). Nothing more happened, and nothing less. Why your ego chose to blow something this simple out of proportion and start a 4 page excuse for a debate over nothing is beyond me.

The only thing you "called" anyone on in the entire length of this 25 page thread is when you quoted something and attacked it hoping nobody would go back and read the rest of the sentence. Attacking isolated sentences and semantics is quite a pathetic way to make an argument. And I won't even mention the irrelevant insults, because I rather enjoyed those.

If de-humanizing people helps you fight them, great for you. I have no moral qualms about attacking somebody who is attacking me, and treating them as human helps me see the situation more fully and more strategically, whereas seeing them as not human would feel like rushing blindly into the unknown.

You suggested that the amount of muggers that are willing to be violent is not a "minority" but a "majority." I would say it varies from place to place. However, I find this point to be only marginally relevant to the argument, since I proposed treating all encounters as the worst case scenario and using the same strategy with any muggers.

I already quoted the whole damn thing above

The irony in this is astounding.

No qualms whatsoever. Once this guy attacked my cat so I mauled him to the ground, dragged him intoa doorway and slammed the door on him repeatedly. I had to stop, though, since his parents could sue me or something, heh. But yeah, I'm very protective of my cat. ^_^;; That's not to mention what I did to rapist pedophiles in Italy when they attacked me and my friend. Seeing them as human doesn't mean "treating them as human." Seeing them as human is not deluding yourself that they're not.

You do remember that this started from a discussion of whether katanas, knives, or guns are more practical for self-defense, right?

Anyway, like I said, you being stuck on your interpertation of what I said even after I elaborated on everything doesn't change that others will understand what I was trying to say. Think whatever makes you happy.

        • Well, he might be picking on her because he likes her and doesn't know how to express his feelings. Next time try a card or some flowers

          • Now that I think about it, maybe that's the underlying root of his problem. Picture this scenario. . .

H2H sees an attractive female walking down the street. He tries to talk to her but all that comes out is the cheesy pick up line. . .

            "Don't I know you?"

The young lady takes one looks at him, immediately flies into a fit of rage, rakes his eyes with her fingernails and beats the crap out of him with her purse. Poor H2H is scarred for life. He now associates the phrase "Don't I know you?", the opposite gender, and sudden violent attacks together. He become irrationally phobic of all three. He starts training in martial arts to overcome his fears and to get revenge. . . . .

Wow, life is so cruel. . . .

spelling correction - it should be:

Obeigh Weauxn, called Oppie by his buddies. When he shows up at the barbershop, they say "Hey git on dawn and git dis po boy a sandwhich!'
