Call me a sexist but does this part of the forums seem to be turning into a feminist convention ? This is just the kind of impression i get, can we try to tone it down a bit please

        Hand2hand, I've got a problem..........

Can you help me solve this linear differential equation?

        Find the general solution for:

        lnx(e^tanx)y' + (cos^2(x)-sin^2(x))y = csc^3(2x)ln7

        I've seperated it into y' + p(x)y = q(x) format and am having difficulties finding e^(H(x)).

          so far...

          y' + (cos^2(x)-sin^2(x))/(ln(e^tanx) (Y) = csc^3(2x)ln7/(lnx(e^tanx)

          and

The integral of (cos^2(x)-sin^2(x))/(ln(e^tanx) dx can simplify down to...

sin(2x)/(tanx) dx the integral of that thing can further simplify to sin(2x)/(sinx/cosx) which then simplifies to 2cosx dx - not sure if this is right.....

Whatever that integral is I can solve from there

                just a second.....sin(2x)/tan(x) = (sin(2x) . cos(x))/sinx

                cosx/sinx = cot(x)

                so

the integral so far is sin(2x)cot(x) dx....to be continued....

                  Wait.....sin(2x)/tan(x) = 2sin(x)cos(x)cos(x)/sin(x)

                  Sin(x) cancels! leaving the integral of 2 cos^2(x). 2 factors outside of the integrand. cos^2(x) = 1-sin^2(x)

                  The integral of 1-sin^2(x) becomes the integral of 1-{1/2(x)-2sin(x)cos(x)}

The solution of the first order diff eq is x-x^2/4-sin^2(x) + k!!!

...me need sleep now, no more like diff eq

What's a feminist? I've been involved on and off in feminist issues and I can say there are more brands of feminism than there are cereal. Everything ranging from the man-hating, Fem-nazi to the legalize prostitution and gimmie sex, sex, sex feminists.

But I guess most people are familiar with the first brand of feminism, and for that reason I don't really refer to myself as one. I've had some nasty experiences with such women myself and all I can say about that is that I like to shave my legs, thank you very much.

Anyway, when a bunch of women get together it's only normal that they rant about the typical trials of being female. PMS, Sexism, jeans that only come in size 0, and most signifigantly men. I'm sure the same thing happens when a bunch of guys get together. There's nothing wrong with the occasional "Grr. Men/Women stink". That's why it's called a rant.

                      Its obvious....

Women talk about how stupid we guys are.
Men talk about how psycho you ladies are.

Sometimes the topic is switched around. Repeat...

The difference is this. Men woiuld be labelled as sexist and sacked, whereas with women its "just a bit of fun."

Actually, you're wrong. When men do it they're labeled as sexists pigs. When women do it they're labeled feminist dykes. This thread being an example of that. So it does work both ways.

Thunder bunny. You do have a point with some of the more neanderthal of my gender.

But, either way, the women don't face the sack for doing it.
