LOL, you are a trip and a half! I suppose it would be possible to work out and really focus and not be distracted by whatever (I have the same problem swimming in pools where lots of women are standing around pretending to do water aerobics, with really annoying instructors screaming directives that everyone ignores...I have the same problem with bad 80s pop music in the gym so loud I can't think...I suppose I am just easily distracted), but it's a hell of a lot easier to just join a gym without glass windows. I guess we both agree on that one.I think distraction is just as LEGITIMATE a reason to not want to be stared at by fat balding old slobby guys as fear is. The little kids running around in the gym were distracting too, and kept getting in the way... I totally agree that if you are learning to fight, it's important to be able to tune out any physical distractions (or mental distractions!) but I just can't think of any time that my life would depend on being able to do a strength circuit or get on the stepper with distractions. In any case, I wasn't trying to defend seppuke OR you, both of you made points I agree *and* disagree with. I'm not classifying you, got better things to do with my time.
I'm gonna go to the gym now!!!!

Jadams? you think i was being offensive. thats cool by me. was being as offensive as you could manage really a good way to prove your better than me?
i cant be arsed with us shouting at each other over a phone line. i really dont mind if you think im stupid. if you want to have a go at proving that your smarter than me, by all means go ahead. youve lost that before you even begin. calling people stupid is not the wisest tool to use in debate, that would be you attacking the person not the point of view.
im not going to call you stupid. i think your the same as the majority of people, at the average not significantly below it. but then, having the IQ of the general public is not something to be terribly proud of really is it.
incidently, im 17, not 12. small difference there.

i dont get you really.... do you really think me neglecting accurate grammer makes me stupid as apposed to lazy? i'm now resisting the urge to write a technically accurate post because i feel ive lost if i do so...
whats your job then? i'm in a supermarket, putting things through checkouts. i dont mind that. easy, mindless. good job. particularly since i know come next october im gone.. either to Durham or Cambridge. got an offer from the first uni, awaiting a reply from the latter. Durham wants straight A's at A2 level. so will cambridge. im going to get that easily. have faith, your not talking to a retard here. sadly its difficult to prove intelligence online... i did notice your utter lack of trying to do so.
no sh.t its meant to be you're. well done you. should be 'it's' as well there. i dont care enough to bother
please, please try to insult me using your concept of sophisticated language. i would love to see that. its really quite obvious when people write from a thesaurus... so go ahead. maybe youll see someone mock your english then...
peace

I hate liars, they insult my intelligence by trying to lie to me and think I am stupid enough to believe them.
if my writing has improves its an unconscious effort i can assure you. as far as Cambridge goes i cant comment, since i really dont know if ill get in or not. Durham has given me a place tho, dependent on me getting 3 A's at A2. Out of 5 subjects. unfortunately there is no online record of my january module results, but the exams taken in the summer are published on my college website. if i can remember/work out how i intend to post a screenshot of that. Durhams offer i dont think i can post without using a scanner, but the AS results i can. could manage GCSE's from UCAS if i wanted, but right now i dont think theres much point to including them.
kind of a shame to see this topic degenerate so completely. but its all good fun in the end
tried to resize. best i could manage with paint and microsoft word

wow.... thats quite the display of ignorance. you think A levels are marked in college? a local thing not a national one? well done you. a little off the mark tho really.
im quite impressed actually... im not capable of editing like that on paint. was that really the program you used? good luck to you if it was... tho photoshop seems more likely somehow.
the big, underlying difference being i actually got those grades... got the certificates around somewhere but doubtless if i scanned them you'd say they were edited as well.
72/90 was the borderline, 71 would have been a B. im retaking that one. are you actually english or not? an american ignorent of our education system would be fair enough really. the UMS marking system, very annoyingly, does not distinguish between 80% and 100%. a higher mark just means i can do terribly later on. the biology mark from the earlir set was 97/100, so thats 295 so far. an A at A2 needs 480 marks, so im 185 off... so i can now get an A in biology quite easily even if i miss one of the exams. thats certainly motivation to work hard...
i think my college probably does have special ed classes, however im not in any of them. by most accounts further maths is about the most difficult A level out there. ill give you a link to the college im at, if your at one far better then well done you. no idea how you managed to ifnd one, but thats not really the point is it.
specifically, this part... http://www.trurocollege.ac.uk/beacon/beacon.htm
sucks to be proud of the college your at, but i really dont have much to complain about with it. i know thats propaganda, and annoyingly slow to scroll, but it is supported by the governments assessment
well, i made an effort. i found my grades and posted them. you ever gonna make a similar, ideally sincere effort? so far your entire argument for your superiority is based on me refusing to type proper sentences. thats not the strongest arguement really. how come you didnt pick up on me not taking english? i expected you to...

there isnt an A+ or A* in the british system. 80% is an A, 100% is still an A. see where im coming from when i say it doesnt distinguish between the two? no universities, or job applications for that matter, ask for a UMS mark or a percentage. Except oxford and cambridge anyway, they pay attention to the raw mark.
UMS is also not a %. I know i didnt get every mark on decision maths 1, yet i got given 100/100 for it.
"I guess A levels are marked in college if a 71 would have been a B right? Moron. The UMS system is based on 100%. It also has A, B, C, D, and E. The maximum score on the UMS system is 100. Any system based on 100 can be converted to %, considering 90/100 is 90% no matter how you cut the cake."
what are you talking about now? A LEVELS MARKED EXTERNALLY isnt that hard a concept. so, if the external marker gives 71/90 you get a B. how does that mean the college marked it? the UMS system has nothing to do with a percentage. i had got the idea of turning a fraction into a percentage, its really not that difficult to do so.
a very, very relevent point is that english capability and mathematical ability are not very closely related at all. seriously now, i cant be arsed to type correctly. no way in hell does that imply i that i cant handle mathematics. do you even know what calculus is? what e is for that matter?
im not going to type with flawless grammer on a forum because i dont see the point, and im amused by just how much your basing on it. i will spell it grammer if i choose. fairly obviously, if im doing an assessed essay i dont tend to make the spelling mistakes and write somewhat more fluently. unless its in french... cant handle french....
i could be wrong, but does your last (longer) post mean you dropped out of college? seems to imply so... my experience of college dropouts is that the vast majority were too stupid to handle it. theres exceptions to every rule granted, but i doubt that you are exceptional somehow.
