But what's the stigma attached to the color pink? That it's feminine? Is that such a bad stigma? I don't think so. What's wrong with being feminine?
You can't say that it's OK to wear pink, and at the same time, if you buy something that is pink, you are letting yourself be patronized by the market. What if a woman just happens to like pink, does her preference in color mean she is OK with being patronized?
For heaven's sake, I just do not get why people are offended by pink gear or the color pink in general. I understand that most here are feminists and I have never put myself in that category - I admit, this is mostly because I don't want to be categorized with ultra-feminists such as those who are offended by pink. But what about picking your battles? Be offended that women earn 80 cents for every dollar that men do, not that stuff for women in available in the color pink!
BTW I guess many here are too young to remember Miami Vice in the 80s...that's when men started wearing pink shirts. Afew years ago it may have been unheard of for men to wear pink, but a few years before that, it was all the rage. Pink for male business attire fades in and out of style, whereas pink for women is always acceptable.
I for one am glad that I can wear pink and blue and any color I like, whereas there is a slight stigma about men wearing pink or lavender. I think it's the men who have the stigma, not the women!

Rachel, you are kind of missing the point here.
It has been repeated over and over again that you can wear whatever you want. You like pink. More power to you! That is your choice. Like I said, my girlfriend is feminist and LOVES pink.
I am offended by the fact that we earn less on a dollar than men. I'm offended that we don't always have the right to do with our bodies as we see fit. Pink is not a "battle" for me. I'm not standing outside of Mattel demanding that Barbie get a green car instead of a pink one.
Bringing the 80's fashion into this argument isn't fair. I mean, seriously, there were a lot of fashion statements in those days that we outrageous and pushing the bar. Men wearing pink was one of them. Pink for women isn't just "acceptable" its almost expected.
The stigma is that we are "girls" and not women when we wear pink. As a "girl" we are naive, fragile and helpless. The stigma also comes from a lot of other women too. As a woman if you detest pink you are "ultra feminist" and you aren't "feminine".
To sum up, I'm not sure what you are trying to convince me of... Are you trying to convince me that I'm an "ultra-feminist"? And that is supposed to mean what? Is that a bad thing? Is it a good thing?
I say we put this all behind us, burn our bras, stop shaving our legs and armpits and demand that Barbie get a green car!
Who's with me?!
