Men and women are both capable of violence and rape. Both have the capacity to be dualisticly "survivors" (I know "victim" is sometimes considered not pc...but **** that, they've been violated, it IS awful, but so is murder, you don't call murder victims "non-survivors") and monsters.

Everybody has the capacity within themselves to be cruel and animalistic.
Men are sometimes stigmatized in our society as being potential rapists...but nobody will deny that there are SOOOOO many different sides of the issue that nobody ever cares to address, or if they do, don't dare to back it up with empirical evidence.

(i.e. not all men are rapists, nor are all women, but a handful of each...it would be interesting to see the male same sex rape, female same sex rape, and female to male rape numbers alongside the men-female rape statistics...but you could never get a good figure because how many men would chime up and admit to being raped? Men are worse off as victims of rape then women are.)

Rapists are somewhat uncommon, and if you look at the nature of most incidences, they are either committed in a group, singular predatory, or by people whom the victim knows. Numbers do show, however, that most rapists are repeat offenders.

Easy solution...rapists should be killed. There is no other crime as heinous. Murder is occasionally justified (viz-a-vie self defense, war time, etc)...nothing ever justifies a rape.

Women shouldn't be afraid of men. They should be afraid of assholes and rapists.
That's like saying everybody should fear airplanes because on occassion one of of them will crash.

Women should be taught how to deal with agressive men...and not half assed. I'm sick of people instilling false confidence (hit and run...may not always work...hit until they can't run after. A karate chop to the side of the neck is not likely to bring a big guy down, maybe a knee to the groin isn't always 100% either...they should know that nothing is 100% and to hit the once or twice won't stop them...) in people to make a buck. Teach them some simple, ultimate things that they can always use. (the use of mase or pepper spray, concealed carry courses for handguns, and/or the proper execution of the knife.)

Who knows...perhaps everybody should be armed and dangerous...then nobody would **** with each other.

1st Report on Prison Sex Abuse Issued

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Justice released
its first statistical report on prison rape and abuse
Sunday, but acknowledged that much sexual violence in
prisons was probably never reported.

In a report required by the 2003 Prison Rape
Elimination Act, the Justice Department's statistical
arm measured sexual violence reported to prison
authorities last year.

The report said there were an estimated 8,210
incidents in the nation's prisons and jails, which
hold about 2.1 million inmates. But the report warned
that there was no reliable estimate of unreported
sexual victimization.

The prison rape act also established a commission,
which is to begin hearing testimony on the issue next
month, and mandated better training for prison staff.

In state-operated juvenile facilities, allegations of
staff sexual misconduct ran proportionately almost 10
times higher than for adult facilities.

Good News, Most prison rape is man on man and it goes

the real history includes the FACT that many many white men and women were brought to this country as indentured servants........while this situation wasnt as bad as slavery and that is not my point, that they are equal, they are not. indentured servants were treated much like slaves but usually for a set period of time, say seven years. in the course of those seven years, you were treated like a virtual slave, you had little or no freedom of movement, choice etc........

so, now let's go back to assigning blame on men for everything, even though many of them were victims themselves........but, just not as bad as women, so the women still win, right?

another scenario, very similar, slight difference........girls meets boy, they hop in the sack consensually (it could happen), and girl becomes preggy.......she wants to keep the baby and he wants to abort it........what happens?, she keeps the baby (against his wishes) and she sues for child support that lasts for 18 to 21 years (if a child attends higher ed, the support can be extendeed by the court). thus, his wages will be garnished if he does not willingly give her about 33% of his income (after taxes-that's right, he pays the tax and she gets the money without any tax liability).

Thus, although in both law and theory, men cannot be allowed to control women's bodies, do not think the reverse is true. women can control men's bodies and not for nine months, but for more 24 times as long. that's right, while, according to law and feminsit theory, men can have the fruits of their labor (up to a third) taken away for up to 21 years.........so much for equality.....anybody besides me find this double standard oppressive??????? when i was young, i remember a story about the boy who cried wolf.....he used to love to run around yelling wolf and then watching everyone scramble and hurry to come help him overcome the wolf. Interestingly, one day the wolf did come, and you may recall what happened when the boy cried wolf one dark day, no one believed a word he had to say, cuz he was full of shit mkost of the time and everyone knew it (no one came).

this is what is happening with sex harrassment and men's violence (and I have been teaching women self defense and karate since 1987, along with men, because i think violence is an important issue, but equally important for both men and women). i am not so naive to think that women are somehow incapable of violence, not anymore, I dont, now that I have recalled the times that my mother hit me or my sisters.......she wasnt abusive physically, but nor did she discipline us in the absence of using violence (its called a spanking, and soemtimes kids need em, me included-but you got to catch me first).....she just like to pretend that she never used violence, but I am not so naive anymore, that's the bad news, i woke to their bs and their hypocrisy.......if they admit their hypocrisy they can be forgiven, but in the absence of an apology, and a refusal to even discuss it civilly, then you have learned nothing.....i never claimed to be a saint, i just clamied not to be responsbile for the world's ills......boarspear is correct that I am an asshole, but what he doesnt reconigze is that I am an asshole only when provoked and by the way, i have been provoked for most of my life and yeah, i am tired of it...... igot tired of being a nice guy cuz it took me, i guess, too long, to realize it, but nice guys finish last.......a time to be nice and a time not to be nice is what some karate teacher taught me (Jay S)......you try to blame me for all the the world's ills throughout history and you will see the asshioloe in me........blame me only for what I have personally done or not done and you will find me to be quite amenable
