    Kingston is a moron

    Kingston,

Half-witted responses such as yours are better served where people are as naive as yourself. In case your mind is struggling to understand, the purpose of my post is a rhetoric question. It’s a rhetoric because by the current posts within this forum, the general attitude is that women’s self-defense is “useless.”

Now, let me examine the utter stupidity of your response.

Oh, I don’t know if you do know the earth revolves around the sun.

Wrong again... This post has nothing to do with “how” women should train. It’s asking “should women train,” since all other posts have argued that women’s training is essentially useless, thereby indicating that women shouldn’t train.

his post mite as well be about how the sky is blue.

his arguments weren't put together very well. Most of his responce was adressing the weakest arguments from the "other side".

"...they're not mentaly capable of winning, physicaly imposible..."

his arguments are just BASIC common sence.
Really?... These ideas are common knowledge, but they also represent the core of the argument... A contradiction on your part, because we always come back to the same arguments.

this one is great "Today, women are well aducated" lol duh....

maybe if this post was writen 50 years ago it would mean something.

Now im NOT saying that the general messege of the post is wrong. That would be as stupid as saying the sun revolves around the earth.

But the the arguments weren't very good. I could talk about how the sky is blue and say, now some people say, "no sometimes i see white stuff in the sky." Thats just clouds, its time people realized the sky is blue. I would still be right BUT my arguments where no good.

SO instead of writing all that, i felt a simple:

"next thing your going to tell us is the earth revolves around the sun" was enough to get my point across. I guess not.
Well, I’m not surprised that you’re the only one who doesn’t understand the message. You’re reading the words, but not understanding the message or motive. This message is intended as a reminder, an interceptor against ideas refuting women’s training. That’s simply what we all need sometimes.

in answer to the post "should women train" (made sure i got it right so i don't get spelled at) the answer is yes. holding on to all the negative notes that are for the opposite should mae women want to train even more.
"you're not big enough to hurt anyone" or more in the direction from what is really said,
"i'm to big for you to hurt."
"you don't have enough power to be effective against a guy."
      "you're just a girl."

all of these quotes are from guys that have said these things to my wife at one time or another just before she whipped their asses (no lie). she is 5' 5" 130 lbs and extremely competetive. a marathon runner, mom of two, and someone who will be the first to show you that women need to train.
i believe that the prejudice that guys have toward women benefit women in their training, depending on the training of course. we practice a martial art that is based on street tactics and multiple attackers and since she has to teach she has to know what she is doing. the weapons we employ are vicious by themselves but when you accompany them with that mentality, guys never know what hit them.
with one rape happening every 5 minutes in the u.s. 1 of a thousand inmates in california prison is there because of rape
(about 10,000 men) there is another good reason for learning some self defense.
what about the children? how many single moms out there would not benefit from some kind of confidence that they at least have a chance to protect their kids. i feel totally safe when my wife leaves the house with my kids. How many other dads can honestly say that?

        oh yeah i forgot

it has been my experience that when women learn a chinese martial art (and i could define out further why this is) they catch on faster in the begining than men. they also hit harder than men in the begining. a downside for me most of the time but a huge plus for all the women is that they don't have control. and what i mean by that is they don't think they are hurting you because of the size difference so they don't try to pull the strike (sucks when i first started teaching women to kick forward, amazing how fast i learned this tidbit). i don't even let my wife demonstrate on me unless there are no other instructors around (and i make it perfectly clear that i don't want to go to sleep).
