Black belts, "Self Defense for Women" magazine:
Has anyone here seen the new blackbelt magazine called Self Defense for
Women? The second issue had DIANA LEE INOSANTO on the cover. That article is on line now and can be found here:
We are now in issue 4 of the magazine, this issue comes with a number of new columns and articles in it that i am hoping will enhance and positively help its evolution. On a personal and organizational level, I am hoping to present in it more reality based self defense and awareness information that will help people understand how real it can be on the streets and how very important it is to train appropriately for such instances. (Instead of in many cases inappropriately or not at all)
This is a new publication for blackbelt magazine and it is the frist one dedicated to self-defense for woman. Furthermore, Because of this fact, i would like to encourage it and help it gain a solid foothold.
Please remember this is a newer magazine, it is evolving and changing, and the staff seems to really want to produce a magazine that suits the cliental and has made and are making many changes to it still. Furthermore, they are willing to listen to its readers and what their questions and opinions.
Here is the Web address for SDFW mag, http://www.sdfwmag.com
Many of you on the board here have wife's, sisters and woman that are not involved in the arts or training in SDA this may be a way to encourage them to train at least in a core SDA program. I believe it can be ordered off the above address. However, this magazine is new and in its frist year of publication, it is evolving, and changing. I am hoping to be part of the creative process and help bring information that is needed in SDA to this magazine over the next months.
My frist column with them is in the autumn issue that is on newsstands now. You will find a copy of this column here:

Its called" Ask the Expert"
This is a good place for people who have no training in SDA to ask
questions, gain information when making training decisions and have questions answered about surviving realty based violent situations.
