  • Hi there

Hi, my name is James and I'm from New Zealand. I'm currently living in Auckland.

I train at a club called Integrated Fighting. Integrated Fighting is basically a blend of other fighting styles. Our main focus is pankration. Check us out at http://www.integratedfighting.org.

I've been training for just over two years and recently received my blue belt. Near the beginning of 2003 I spent some time at a BJJ club in Tucson, Arizona, and I love it. BJJ practioners are the masters of the ground.

Recently I've been working on losing some weight and trimming down (and gaining some more muscle) so I can be more competitive at competitions. Currently I'm 79kg (174lb), with a target weight of 75kg (165lb). This is down from 86kg (189lb) in March.

What can I say? I love martial arts, and I love ground fighting. I hope to still be doing it when I'm an old bugger, and maybe have my own school one day.
