  • Free yoga for MSDA students in August

Yoga can improve your MMA performance as well as your workout recovery and reduce your risk of injury. Unlike plain stretching, yoga also focuses on breathing and building strength in muscles while they're in a lengthened position. I've been getting a lot of questions from other students about my yoga classes.

If you'd like to try a free yoga class, send me an email at jamesdekan <at> yahoo dot com.

I am currently teaching a Thurs. evening class from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. at Abhyasa Yoga in central Houston.

So, for the month of August, any of Tim's MMA students (including Pat Swan's boxing students) who show up on Saturday morning can take my yoga class for FREE.

It's called "Active Beginner" and it's at the Abhyasa Yoga Studio, 3400 Montrose, 3rd floor of the Skybar building. Park in the garage just off of Hawthorne. Class time 11:00 to 11:45 a.m.

Email me if y'all have any questions.

Yoga is a great thing for MMA athletes.

    I can't recommend yoga enough.

Want to heal faster? Want to reduce injuries? Want to escape faster? Want to sweep more powerfully? Want to throw more often and with more power? Want to punch harder? Want to punch faster?

Yoga will help all of those.

I can't think of an aspect of reality based training that Yoga doesn't help.

    Good stuff.
