Ok, I've spent the last few hours reading through some of the absolute bull$h1t that many of you people believe. Hehe. I have been rather amused.
However, I feel that a few people need a few things said to them and some ideas need to be cleared up-- even though my comments will do no good in the long run because of the 99% chance ignurance and cognitive dissonance will justify each persons beliefs in their own mind, it's late and I'm bored.
Thai Bri, you seem like an educated person and an experienced martial artist. You also seem like the kinda guy I'd wanna sit on a street corner with drunk to listen to you rag on people.
But, you are kind of a d1ck head.
Tai-gip, dude I can almost understand what you are saying. Yes they are too quick to bash on what you say, but you really need to write everything in MS Word, run spell check, then post, because right now it seems like you're runing a "babblfish (via altavista.com)" translation from martian to english and posting the result.
Jubaji: Are you a struggling lawyer?
I personally think Muay Thai is an incredible MA, but I do need to inform a few of you fanatics that they are not invincible. Yes the first of the last two defeats suffered by the Thai's to China was a result of lousy Chinese judges with obvios bias, but the mere fact that the @ss-kicking thais didn't knock every one of them out should be a smack in the face. The second however, resulted in the Chinese winning again, with one of the Thai's being knocked out in the second round.

Take into account that the guy who wrote this review still believe that MuayThai is a superior MA in all four ranges, whereas Sanda Kung Fu only is sufficient in two of the four ranges: long and close. Does this mean that the efficiency of the Chinese fighters in those two ranges is so great that the well-rounded or "practical" fighting style of MuayThai is outweighed?
One last thing, I personally believe people should drop the term "Kung Fu" from their vocabulary, find it, and kick it off a cliff. Choy Li Fut is opposite Wing Chun, which are nothing like Tai Chi, etc. Southerners use their hands more, and northerners use their feet more, blah, blah, blah. My point is that there are so many differnet Kung Fu styles, that are so different, it is ridiculous to generalize them, or should I say stereotype them. I personally think a lot of them are crap, I cannot believe that they were invented as combat skills in the first place. However, there are some like CLF, WC, and Sanda that are great. I personally still don't think that WC is that great either. It is too predictable, too linear. Bruce Lee was just a physical and mental phenominon. His genetics were responsible for his abilities.
To sum it all up, you think you know it all and so do I so don't bother trying to prove me wrong. Oh yeah, and if you find any spelling or grammatical errors, take in mind that I did not use my own advice and prepare everything through word. Tell me if I need it and I'll gladly tell you to F_CK OFF.
Have a great day, and for real lessons e-mail me and I'll teach you crouching tiger slimy rimjob.
