haha, one American football team was asked one time, cant remember when it was I will try find it for ya, to play against an English Rugby team without padding, they said no.

By the way I aint English....

....as for Aussie beating England 3-1, thats good for you guys! But seriously English football is top notch, Australia doesnt even come close. Aussies are good at 2 things, Cricket and Rugby.... hell ya's cant even drink right!

It was a "friendly" game and, as such, is only played so that the coaches can experiemnt with different players and formations. So it means jack shit. The thread was never dead.

Funny thats not what your exemplary press said !

Friendly or not, the English team had most of its stars playing, and as you told me earlier

You lost ! and a loss is always a loss !

Crazy stuff SA. Well, I can see why the American Football team would say NO. They're a bunch of spoiled pricks who get paid millions of dollars ever year to be a bunch of uneducated morons, while our doctors with exponentially higher educations make only a fraction of the pro atheletes salaries. In short there was probably no money in it. And for two, the English probably asked the Chargers b/c the Chargers suck and have won like 10 games in their whole existance. It was a publicity stunt I say!!!!

Speaking of American football players and pricks, are Bob Sapp and Mike Tyson really gonna fight? If so, when? I really wanna see that fight. I honestly think Tyson will win, given that Kimo almost knocked Sapps clock off before he was saved by the bell.

              Rugby Union:-
England beats Australia, on THEIR home soil to take THEIR World Championship away from them in front of THEIR fans.

              Soccer:-
              England loses a friendly game.

Yep, you draw a great comparison. Both games are just as important as each other. Yeah, rite. Its a bit like saying the World Heavyweight Champion took a jab on the nose when he was sparring in preparation for a fight he'd had when he was six somehow negates the day he won the Championship belt.

              Duuuurrrrrrrrr. That sounds so desperate.

Bri, 37 years between drinks is long time, so I do understand your frustration. England won the Rugby because they have a great team, they lost the soccer because they were arrogant and complacent.

So make a booking for your next big win in 37 years time, and we will wait just another 4. C ya there !!!!!

The present counts a little more than the future....... so thats pretty weak.

Face it. 10 years ago the Southern Hemisphere left us behind with their hard and skilfull rugby. But we caught up and are racing ahead.

Four years from now there won't even be a Southern Hemisphere team in the semi finals.

                    10 years?

Even 5 years ago the southern hemisphere teams dominated, and apart from England in this tournament, the rest of the Northern teams had days that ranged from brilliant one day to shit the next. England has a very old forward pack and you will see a decline over the next 5 years. Whereas the Aussies and Kiwis in particular have young developing teams.

And although past performance is no guarantee of future performance, over the last 50 years we have spanked your ass regularly at just about anything we have chosen to play.

One reason for this is that Aussie culture will not allow us to accept a defeat because it is ony a 'friendly'. Every time we pull on the green and gold we play like it could be our last chance.
Whereas the English seem to think its ok to lose to Australia at soccer because its only a friendly!!!

The only way you are going to beat us in the long term is to copy us !

I love anagrams. Here is a good one. If you take the word "Australians", and then switch the letters around. And then add a few. And then take a few away. You're lft with that well known phrase "sore loser pussies".
