i think the high profile media attitudes stepping into the UFC and even K-1 are just about making a show of the sport...
it's not about two guys honorably competing to see whose skill is better anymore, its about the big show...
i don't need that and i DO find it does detract from what REAL martial arts is...
there is a moral code that is involved, and if we lose that what's to say we won't toss away the othe real values of its heritage?

Something me and my friend have been saying all along, espacially when some people nag about certain people not being on the card in events like K1
A promotor selects fights that will attract the most spectators
If the choise of the day is Hawaiian Martial Artist against Sumotori they will arrange that
If People want to see an american fight a brazillian that's what will be arranged
That's why UFC persiste in naming a MA of the competitors even though by now everyone entering in the UFC is a Mixed Martial Artist
We have come so far that promotors determine the rules of
As for Morals, there are no higher morals in Martial Sports appart from sticking to the rules and playing it fair
If the rules allow me to damage you and it is helpfull for a victory, I will damage you, as will any competitor
In a real fight morals go out the door even sooner
