Could spitting be a legitimate self-defense tactic in certain situations?

Every fight I've found myself in I have had a dry mouth. So, for me that wouldn't work. I've talked with other people about this that have had the same experience.

I was driving in the AZ desert, and passed a vulture going fast.

You have to be sure that it is a real nasty nasal spit full of boggers and snot. If you have good aim then it's like an old claymore mine starting an ambush.

My Bad, this thread showed up as newly updated under my user cp. I didn't even notice the dates. User cp has never let me down in the past--thats the first thing I check when I log in.
