I would agree that McDojo schools are a serious problem that people need to be informed about, but I doubt the McDojo subscribers to Black Belt magazine want to hear about that. Nobody wants to hear the martial art they just signed up for and possibly signed a lengthy contract for, is total BS.
I would say write about training theory. What do you do to make learning easier for your students? Do you do things to reinforce what they have learned? Do you test them occasionally to see how they are progressing? I'm not an instructor so I can't eleborate too much on this, but I would think an article on training theory would be of interest to those wanting to advance in their martial art.
