  • Am I feeling Chi ?

I have began strenght training my legs and fists today.

I spent this morning in the park standing in a low horse stance and smacking this tree trunk with my fists. After about 20 blows they got bloody then I switched to kicking the tree with my shins and ball of foot.

When I got home I soaked my feet and hands in hot salty water. Afterwards my hands began vibrating like blood was gushing to them.

    Is this chi ?

Some people say that I should apply chinese liniment to my hands after training. I think hot water in salt should be fine.

          What are your views ?

What kind of tree were you hitting? Every living thing in the universe has chi and there are consequences to your interactions.

yes that is exactly what it is...i am advanced in yang style tai chi...it is my specialty...that is iexactly what it is...it usually help also if u were to do some chi kung..that is very effective for brining the chi up...the reason u began to feel it is becuz ur feet were planted for so long....did ur sensei or sifu say something along the lines of "concentrate on ur breathing"?..if he did then u were definetly feeling it....after a while it starts to happen automatically when u start doing the chi kung...the reason u started to feel it after u were done is b-cuz ur legs were so flexed during the horse stance that u were blocking out the sensations of the chi..once ur leges let go from flexing the chi rushes over u like hot water....feels cool doesn't it...

No need to practice headbutts on that tree then...
