  • The Love Thread

he said; is love actually real? does it really exist? i hear about it all the time, but i thought it was just a myth. coldneSs and emptyneSs is all i know of.
    Give yourself time.
    Give yourself opportunity.
    Give yourself.

It will come, whether you think you are deserving or not.

Love is somewhat like enlightenment; if you seek it, you may not find it. Yet if you go about your business, improving yourself, making yourself more worthy, making yourself more loveable, thinking not of iyour own needs, but of the needs of others, Love may find you.

    the wait

    It seemed
    like years
    before
    I picked
    a bouquet
    of kisses
    off her mouth
    and put them
    into a dawn-colored vase
    in
    my
    heart.

    But
    the wait
    was worth it.

    Because
    I
    was
    in love.

For perspectives on true love and waiting, consult the bible - a very reliable source.

I whole heartedly agree with your definition. playing the dating game and I do mean game, is not of love, rather a combination of fun and spite rolled into one. It aint natural, but you learn.

        ------ Alonzo, age 9

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking.
It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
          Love never fails.

              Yeah, well you ain't Bruce...

              Joking! just joking!

But seriously, that's just what I mean. there are elements of zen in it. "If you seek it, you will not find it..."

They call that kind of person "desperate". And he usually strikes out.

My best luck with Love has always been a natural, disinterested, just-friends approach. When the hormones aren't making you stupid so you wind up staring at her like a predatory stalker and you can't think of anything intelligent to say and you wind up freaking her out.

'cept, of course, with the wife it was like hot crazy passion from the minute we laid eyes on each other!

                That sounds wonderful...

                Good poetry
                Makes a beautiful naked woman
                Materialize from
                Words,

                Who then says,
                With a sword precariously waving
                In her hands,

"If you look at my loins
I will cut off your head,

And reach down and grab your spirit
                By its private parts,

And carry you off to heaven
                Squealing in joy."

                Hafiz says,
                "That sounds wonderful, just
                Wonderful.

                Someone please - start writing
                Some great
                Lines."

Did any ladies happen to read that?

I know, leaving the toilet lid up and toothpaste cap off are cardinal sins. As is not leaving the toilet paper in the top-down position and pulling the curtain exactly at a 43.2 degree angle...

I'm all warm and fuzzy inside

                          After reading this...awww!

Still waiting but not anxiously looking here...-while telling the jerks that want to come around to waste my time: *chuu fly, chuu! or I'll smack you!* -

I just hope it doesn't come my way when I'm 90 and then I die the next day!
