yo, if your going to go to the bible for advice on love, dont go to the book "song of solomon" aka "song of songs." por ejempelo.

"tell me, you whom i love, where you graze your flock
and where you rest your sheep at midday"

"your eyes behind your veil are doves
your hair is like a flock of goats
    descending from mount gilead
your teeth are lke a flock of sheep just shorn"

"your two breasts are like two fawns
like twin fawns of a gazelle
    that browse among the lilies"

yea, i dare you to try the flock of goats one on some chick. let me know how it goes.

on the other hand, there is some good stuff in there.

Ever actually read, understand and furthermore live by the bible?

Doesn't mean you have to surround yourself with people who are gonna dog on you. But its mighty powerfull stuff.

It seems to me that people spend an awful lot of time thinking about hurting each other. We think about getting back at somebody, or being angry at the guy who cuts us off in traffic, or (in the case of martial arts types) we spend hours every month training to really beat the snot out of the first guy who deserves it.

I think the attitude we take toward each other on a daily basis creates a sort of spiral toward more of the same. So, with an empathis on rudeness and incivility toward others, our societies become increasingly mean and uncivil.
It becomes normal, even amusing to slight others. Witness the popularity of the show 'COPS' - watching 'COPS' is really nothing more than watching already unhapy peoples lives disintegrate even further. 'COPS' = human misery for enterainment. It isn't just 'COPS' though, hasn't anyone seen the bumper sticker with the guy pissing on something... 'ex-wife', 'you, 'everyone', etc. There are endless examples of casual mean-ness around.

What we need is more casual kindnesses. Open doors for people, don't tailgate the 80 year old woman driving 10mph, smile at people when you talk to them, add to the love around you. Also, post nice things on internet forums when you can.

                Not In Vain

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
                I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
                Or cool one pain,
                Or help one fainting robin
                Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

                Emily Dickinson

no, the best thing to do is get her up a mountain route then pull by the side of her vehicle and then knock the bitch down the side of the mountain

So it was forced on you, instead of you choosing it independently. That's unfortunate.

Catholic highschool kids become super party animals in college. Whereas highschool party animals sober up and become Christians.

                    Aint it funny.

man, my brother goes to catholic high school, and ill tell you, the general population there do not represent the overall christian population.

anyway, were all entitled to our opinions, and i choose to believe the bible, if thats alright with you.

but even if you dont believe in jesus, or in god at all, the bible still has alot of good advice. hence the corintians quote that was posted here earlier.

There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
                            It's eeeeasy.
