I see that you have read the Communist manifesto, it rings through your statements. But there is one doctrine that will make sense of where the world really is headed.
World conquest through world government (Protocols of the learned Elders of Zion). Dont read into the racist aspect of the artical. Read where the paper is taking the world.
Bush is doing the same thing. By giving the US power to a few central world banks. You think our government controls the world, but it doesnt. True power lies within the world banks. We dont vote for their leaders, but they make the true determination of balance of power between nations.

So when it comes down to it, people have three options; shut up and get over it, move to a different country, or get involved in politics. Bush's plan isnt to run the US into the ground. He wants to run the whole world into the ground while giving power to a few people (world banks). This will centralize the power of the whole world. Every move he has made has been to make people dumber and busier. He's scared. He's an oil man and he knows about Peak Oil. What will people do without oil? By the time the babyboomers are gone, cheap oil will be gone also. World trade, and balance of power will shift. The men behind the Bush doctrine have a 10yr headstart in achieving their goals of centralizing power. It will take someone with real influence to make any change here.

did you know that the words "One nation under God" werent in the pledge of allegiance until 1954? They wanted to make it appear better than the communist pledge of the time. Congress figured a Nazi would never say "under God" so this was added to make our pledge appear better than theirs.

Not entirely with you on the education issue. We have people bitching about having to pay taxes for the public schools in this country... and we allocate most of the tax money we do collect towards two really fucked up institutions, the prison industial complex, and the war machine. (the upper-crust in this country have a real PLAN for future generations, huh?!)

Public schools get less money in certain areas...and with Bush's "every child can get fucked" policy...the inner city schools, and places where education is needed most will get further cuts in their budgets..

Education has little to do with money in terms of student motivation. Bush or anyone else allocating more money to education won't motivate the average student. Bush is doing something, its others job to pick up the slack. The quality of your education depends on:

1. Parent involvement
2. Student's Track Record
3. Quality of the teacher

Paren'ts have an influence on the first two factors. Proof? Hook up with some graduate students from South Korea, Russia, Germany, India, China or Poland who went to so-so public schools that are poorer than US. Education is strongly enforced at home from the parents from day 1 and is very militant from the teacher's approach. Whether its algebra OR SPORTS!!!

Ever meet anyone who wrestled from the former eastern block? Not only can he tear you apart on the mat, he can tear up a complicated fluids problem in a physics class. This guy is a product of a motivated system that everyone is subject to in his country.

We've lost this kind of motivation in our society. The way it works is that you do not take your instructors criticisms as personal, but rather as the truth so that you are motivated to work harder and smarter.

Pricing is a function of supply & demand, market structure (how many other producers? what are they charging?) elasticity of the product (who picks up the tab if we charge a little more for product A - the company or the consumer?) and policy.

Pricing also has to do with marketing efforts and brand name recognition...I"m not going to write out a multivarible equation for pricing, because I don't have any statistical tests for these variables, but you get the drift.

Your not making sense. The US is a large manufacturer and exporter of grains, citrus fruit, cattle and pork. I don't have the specifics, but we produce enough food for our own country. As regional and cultural influences change our appetite, we import more of what we want in exchange for what we have and trade begins.

Country A buys our Midwestern soybean and Texas cattle, while we buy their specialty oils and rare fruits.

Country B buys our refined Silicon, Titanium and associated polymers, while we buy their computer chips and manufactured electronics.

You probably shouldn't compare oranges to Asian made computers.

I think China is the third largest holder of US debt, so yeah if they pull out we'd have trouble. But there's nothing you can do about it, so get on with your life and do something.

Communism was not a failure. This is simply your compulsary miseducation coming out...man, it wasn't the theory, but the deviations from the theory, and the lack of forethough going into the implementation of the system itself that created the problems within the manifestations of communism.

Capitalism, be nature, secures a place at the top for the minority, i.e. the bourgoise class, or in lay terms, the capitalist. Why, because they control the means of production.
All that the worker has is himself, and by his very niche he is doomed to create a commodity or good that is worth more than his wage, hence all profit is derived from the exploitation of the worker.
The government in this country was set up not to protect our so called "inalienable" rights as set forth by Thomas Paine and then Tommy boy Jefferson (based mainly on enlightenment ideals, as probably first preposed by John Locke), but rather to create an institution that would essentially reinforce the dominance of the capitalist class, and secure the one true american freedom, free trade.

As for the pharmacuetical issue....
meds are inelastic. People will continue to pay, regardless of the cost becuase they are essential, just like gas, or drugs to a drug addict...which is what makes slanging drugs so goddamned lucrative.
There is an incredible demand, and because most pharamcuetical companies have a relative monopoly on the production of drugs, they can charge whatever they want, despite the cost to them to manufacture. I guarantee that the supply that they can produce can more than equal the demand, the problem is in their control. They can charge what they want, because there are no alternatives.
i.e. they are exploiting the **** out of the consumer and making incredible profits.
More profits = more exploitation.

I am well aware of the processes involved in producing a medication. Long, tedious and time consuming...but for those that do it, it's a passion. But why should they make more than the other hard-working person who's pulling their own weight and doing a great job washing dishes or doing janitorial work for a living?
Sure, they've got the student loans to pay off, but that's also a construct of our society. Education should be free, and the goal should not be to make more money and increase your socio-economic position, it should be to learn how to better onesself and to perhaps help contribute of the common good of society.
