I always warm up with a thousand reverse punches and several hundred front stretch and side stretch kicks.

you should probably start by lightly jogging a mile or two and then do a lot of situps..

Since you asked what warm-ups you can do before class, it will be much more simple and less strenuous to ride a stationary bike or skip rope.

Its called a warm-up and not a workout.

yeah well a little workin out seems in order, as well...a fit individual is better able to perform his art...the art relies on the vessel....its usually the vessel's fault an art doesnt "work."

I agree, but we don't know if Mattbla has any pre-existing conditions. It may be better for him to start slow.

He could have asthma or unhealthy blood pressure. Best bet is to check with a physician before hand if he's going to begin a rigorous excercise program.

I think 15 minutes on a stationary cycle might be a good start.
