lol. Yo, Chris, this is some more back up on Olneyville.

(I took this paragraph from urban planet.org)

Providence's Olneyville neighbourhood is most often associated with the word ghetto, and the association is sadly pretty apt. Although the neighbourhood is beginning to turn around. Artists are investing in the area taking ownership of spaces before they are forced out by developers. And the developers are moving in quickly. I think in 15 years, the ghetto moniker will be a fading memory for the area.

I'm gonna post some pics too... I love my city, no matter what the economic or racial makeup of the parts, they're all rich in history and culture. Walking down the richest streets and the poorest you can find some great old architecture. These are some pics from Olneyville(more specifically Manton) but I can post some of Downtown and stuff if you wanna see after.

The downtown is gorgeous... if you want me to post those I will. On the east side, we have the largest continuous collection of historical society protected buildings in the U.S.

          good

I have a particular fondness for the unsavory parts of town, it keeps me true to my roots.. I'm thankful I learned street smarts from growing up in shitty areas..
