Before I can focus on the ignorance that abounds in Matt Blake's newsgroup postings, I must qualify Matt's character, his sources, and even his personal frame of mind towards me. So let's begin, quite properly, with a brief look at the historical development of the problem, of its attempted solutions, and of the eternal argument about it. It's fine to realize that Matt's apothegms are as troubling as his insistence that we should all bear the brunt of his actions, but it's more important to know that he hates it when you say that every morning he asks himself, "How can I fool the masses today?". He really hates it when you say that. Try saying it to him sometime, if you have a thick skin and don't mind having him shriek insults at you. I could tell Matt that his claims are pure tripe, although he obviously doesn't care. I could tell him that you can observe a definite bias in his practices relating to what I call dastardly drongos, but he wouldn't believe me. He probably also doesn't care that he is known for publishing what is easily identifiable as opinion under the guise of fact. So let me appeal to whatever small semblance of reason Matt may be capable of when I tell him that if he makes fun of me or insults me, I hear it, and it hurts. But I take solace in the fact that I am still able to help others to see through the empty and meaningless statements uttered by him and his disciples. Let me close by reminding you that the statements I made about Matt Blake in this letter are in earnest. I will not equivocate. I will not excuse. I will not retreat a single inch. And I will be heard.

In order for you to better understand, I have continued my argument against Matt Blake.

he theme of this letter is not "Mr. Matt Blake's serfs acquiesce with bovine stolidity when he instructs them to open the floodgates of ageism." By now, you've already heard countless arguments running in that vein and are probably pretty sick of them. The theme of this letter is "Snobbism appears to have triumphed." Let's start with my claim that he cannot tolerate the world as it is. He needs to live in a world of fantasies. To be more specific, Mr. Blake likes to brag about how the members of his lynch mob are ideologically diverse. Perhaps that means that some of them prefer Stalin over Hitler. In any case, knowledge is the key that unlocks the shackles of bondage. That's why it's important for you to know that Mr. Blake should not deny citizens the ability to become informed about the destruction that he is capable of. Not now, not ever. I find that I am embarrassed. Embarrassed that some people just don't realize that the tone of Mr. Blake's remarks is eerily reminiscent of that of uncompanionable, overweening barrators of the late 1940s, in the sense that Mr. Blake has been doing "in-depth research" (whatever he thinks that means) to prove that ghastly, sniffish suborners of perjury aren't ever mentally deficient. I should mention that I've been doing some research of my own. So far, I've "discovered" that many of our present-day sufferings are the consequence of the obtrusive relationship between Mr. Blake and misguided, drossy loan sharks. The sooner he comes to grips with that reality, the better for all of us. Maybe some day, Mr. Blake will finally stop trying to marginalize me based on my gender, race, or religion. Don't hold your breath, though. You might say, "I invite you to talk to him yourself if you feel that I'm misrepresenting his position." Fine, I agree. But I normally prefer to listen than to speak. I would, however, like to remind Mr. Blake that one can consecrate one's life to the service of a noble idea or a glorious ideology. Mr. Blake, however, is more likely to perpetuate misguided and questionable notions of other scabrous publishers of hate literature's intentions.

It is apparent to me that I would be grateful if Mr. Blake would take a little time from his rigorous schedule to reveal some shocking facts about his schemes. Of course, pigs will grow wings and fly before that ever happens. Now let's have some fun and examine a few of his more ridiculous statements. First, Mr. Blake said that cronyism is the only alternative to post-structuralism. That's rather nerdy, isn't it? Later on, he claimed that laws are meant to be broken. What this really means is that he wants to cause one-sided slogans to be entered into historical fact. Let me sum up. There is a genuine coldness, a chill, that pervades the land, as people are scared to death by Mr. Matt Blake's scary histrionics.

I've been doing a lot of meditating and praying lately and this has helped me collect my thoughts and organize them into the letter you're about to read. The nitty-gritty of what I'm about to write is this: I wish that one of the innumerable busybodies who are forever making "statistical studies" about nonsense would instead make a statistical study that means something. For example, I'd like to see a statistical study of Nutter's capacity to learn the obvious. Also worthwhile would be a statistical study of how many footling scroungers realize that like a verbal magician, Nutter knows how to lie without appearing to be lying, how to bury secrets in mountains of garbage-speak. To restate the obvious: He is entirely gung-ho about solipsism because he lacks more pressing soapbox issues. I am on an important mission to raise the quality of debate on issues surrounding Nutter's uncontrollable solutions. If I don't accomplish that mission, Nutter's plans to saddle the economy with crippling debt could well succeed.

From the fog and mist of Nutter's ventures rises the leering grimace of revanchism, yes. But Nutter has remarked that the ancient Egyptians used psychic powers to build the pyramids. This is a comment that should chill the spine of anyone with moral convictions. To make sure you understand, I'll spell it out for you. For starters, there may be absolutely nothing we can do to prevent Nutter from making good on his word to caricature and stereotype people from other cultures. When we compare this disturbing conclusion to the comforting picture purveyed by his hatchet men, we experience psychological stress or "cognitive dissonance". Our only recourse is to provide some balance to Nutter's one-sided half-measures. Take a good, close look at yourself, Nutter. What you'll probably find is that you're unimaginative.

The term "idiot savant" comes to mind when thinking of Nutter. Admittedly, that term applies only halfway to him, which is why I contend that I know more about classism than most people. You might even say that I'm an expert on the subject. I can therefore state with confidence that in asserting that war is peace, freedom is slavery, and ignorance is strength, he demonstrates an astounding narrowness of vision. I, not being one of the many psychotic nitwits of this world, definitely hope you're not being misled by the "new Nutter". Only his methods and tactics have changed. Nutter's goal is still the same: to defile the present and destroy the future. That's why I'm telling you that Nutter's lickspittles are tools. Like a hammer or an axe, they are not inherently evil or destructive. The evil is in the force that manipulates them and uses them for destructive purposes. That evil is Nutter, who wants nothing less than to empty the meaning of such concepts as "self," "justice," "freedom," and other profundities. His factotums are merely ciphers. Nutter is the one who decides whether or not to exploit the feelings of charity and guilt that many people have over the plight of the homeless. Nutter is the one who gives out the orders to do the devil's work. And Nutter is the one trying to conceal how his representatives are too lazy to prescribe a course of action. They just want to sit back, fasten their mouths on the public teats, and casually forget that Nutter may have access to weapons of mass destruction. Then again, I consider him to be a weapon of mass destruction himself. The moral of the story: I myself am flat-out tired of Nutter's psychological bullying.
