  • Mondays Protests/Demonstration...

Was just curious how the protest of illegal immigrants is affecting you all.

I heard they weren't going to show up to work and all that. I guess it's like that movie "A Day without a Mexican"...never actually saw it but I heard that is what it was about.

    Terrible movie.

I'm doing all shopping for the week today. Any store that is closed or understaffed will never see my business again.

The walkout is all immigrants, not just illegals. It's designed to point out the contribution they are making to day-to-day life in America.

I guess it's a heck of a lot better than the riots in France.

Its just illegals. Others may participate, but the point of it is the focus on illegals. Very few people are against legal immigrants.

The slogan is "A day without immigrants" and all immigrants are encouraged to participate.

That said, it was started to protest illegal immigration legislation, so I guess it could be argued either way.

Go on, you little criminals. March! In fact, march right back to the back of the line and wait your turn behind the people who bothered to do things legally.

            P.S.
Anyone else curious as to where all the islamic supporters of these illegals came from? Where the blue hell were these bastards after 9-11? They'll protest to get us to loosen our regulations on illegal immigration, but they won't protest against the perversion of their faith to justify the killing of thousands of civilians? What gives?

Well, the loose immigration laws support terrorists of Arab decent coming into our country... and you know what that means.

Exactly! You know I have nothing against immigration either. Hell, my wife is an immigrant! I stood in lines at the US Consolote in Okinawa, the US Naval Hospital for medical checks, and the Okinawan Police Dept. for back ground checks. And I've stood in line with her at the immigration place in the states too, to finalize her status. Yes it's a hastle and time consuming to get a Visa, but that is the right way to do it!

We talk about immigration all the time together. Especially on how illegals are getting away without paying taxes. The public school systems and the pubic health care systems are over crowded and yet being paid for by honest tax payers. If people want to be apart of this country/society then they need to stop free loading and pay their dues like the rest of us!!

Doesn't change what it is mate does it. "Well, the loose immigration laws support terrorists of Arab decent coming into our country... and you know what that means." lol right. Like there are a horde of terrorists who want to attack US but can't until they get some basic human rights being in US without a visa right. Like he had to say "of Arab decent" to validate his point. There are ignorant people throughout the world but America seems to have the lion's share innit.

If I'm not mistaken, Arabs who come to the U.S. probably follow the settling paterns of Asians. They want to invest wealth, start businesses and eventually assimilate into their new home. Most are friendly citizens who pay their taxes.

What J-Luck is really getting at, is how we provide our citizens the freedom of religion in our Constitution, how many Americans will fight for that right while those who are often protected by it are the same ones who would fight to undermine us (see the posts by Mr. Hussein in Silat Mubai).

Now, the coorelation between Arab Muslims and rebellious individuals is an issue, as there have been a number of incidences where an Arab Muslim immigrant has come to the country AND has plotted against America AND has been undermined.

Doesn't that draw attention to the issue of immigration? It does.

Does it mean that every Arab in the US is bad? No.

But it is an issue. How do you distinguish between a U.S. citizen who is of Arabic decent, law abiding and tax paying vs. one who is of Arabic decent but has bad intentions?

I'm not one to judge people too quickly, but like others I am concerned with national security.

                      What's your solution?
