I've been maxed out on the rep lately... I have given out too much in the last 24 hours to do it again. Then if I try to give it to you I must spread some around before I can give it to Garland again

How many people you don't know do you have to spread rep around to before you can give it to people you know?

he was awesome...too many goons came out to the seminar though...I ended up training with the overweight weekend warriors who claim they knew better than everyone else what to do.

We did alot of kali and some silat...very fun. Alot of kaputa kapala into reverse triangles and the like...

Man...Guro Dan and his training aide (I think his name is Joel) are really cool people...just getting the chance to sit and hear their stories, histories of the arts...talk to them one on one...now that, in my mind, is much more fun than the training...just getting to rub shoulders and talk shop with the best is far more satisfying than running drills.

I even got to see my trainers who I haven't talked to in ages...it's hard to get back into the lifestyle being a college student with a job and other people as responsibilities. Man...I love it though, it really is a passion, even though I'm not active...not a minute goes by that I'm not running it through my mind.

I've had a unique opportunity to meet rich and famous people, but few have been people that I can look in the eye and be able to see them as being REAL, you know...not putting on a show. Guro Dan, Adjarn Chai, all of these people...Sensei Paulson...they'll sit and eat with you, and just shoot the breeze...they're people you can respect and look up to for real.

Remember if you have other people as responsibilities then you need to train so you can be a good solid protector...or at least like you said keep it in the forefront of your mind.

I met a 15 year old this past weekend who was more of a man than most 50-year olds I know. Not once did he let women and children out of his sight when they needed someone to walk them somewhere. Fifteen years old. I met his father too and told him what a good job he was doing and he said, "Yeah, he's getting there."

nope...but it was a really small seminar, just 20 of us.

That's admirable...something worthwhile to aspire to. I'm happy to hear about it.
