Beagles are great! But, how did you reach that choice from the bio?

Well, he's a single dad and he likes pretty girls, and kids and pretty girls like beagles.

            • Beagles are mighty loyal, good watch dogs, and like long runs. Excellent choice!

Gotta watch for ear infections though. That, and the occasional late-night howling.

Aren't those really called Manchester Terriers?

That sucker's pretty low on the 'cute' scale. Dunno if it will help pick up the babes.

                      • Chicks dig daschunds... might not help with the badass image, but any guy with a daschund gets a second look.

Terrier's are similar but not a mini dog...

                            • No I never said I was a breed expert just someone who has grown up around Pits and knows that they don't deserve the reputation that people educated by the media give them. Besides those breeds look like kissing cousins to the ones I mentioned, Ill bet they are not far off the genetic tree from them.

And about the Scotty? since he left his yard ran into the street, lept up and bit me on the elbow, which would be about face height for a child I am glad I was able to take the bite and make the owner aware that he had an aggressive dog that COULD pose a danger to a small child under the wrong circumstance, as could anydog.

You never answerd the question about the Pits place in history Jubaji?
How could this dog have existed for decades in America and with no record of the viscious unpredictability you claim is inherent in the breed?
By all accounts they were trusted family companions, so where is the background that lead up to this tragedy?
Why were they used as out mascot during worldwar 1 during our Isolationist phase with the motto "I am neutral but afraid of none"
According to you the motto with the Pit should have been
"Ill turn on you and chew your ass up at any given moment!"

From Helen Keller to Presidents (several owned pits) to the common man
All considered the Pit to be a worthy dog, but those people were just nuts right Jubaji? It couldn't be that when the dog gained the outlaw status backyard breeding exploded and dangerous human aggressive dogs were sold and even sought after by exactly the people you claim as the "typical" pit owner.

So Jubaji are the proffesional trainers who use Pits for the various jobs I have described putting peoples lives at risk? Are they irresponsible ego fanatics obsessed with image if they use a rescued pitbull for a searchdog?
What about a comfort dog for the disabled? Are those people bringing in a time bomb to that hospital or retirement home?

Are the people who devote their lives to working with animals wrong when they say that the pitbull is a worthy breed? Are they egomaniacs as well?
I have provided opinions from people who work with dogs and train pits to be of a great service to man, why would they choose them over the other breeds that you say do the job better?.

Dog trainers have called them one of the best breeds around, but YOU know better right Jubaji? Lets hope you are never trapped in a disaster area,
a pitbull rescue/tracker dog might just eat you alive instead of saving your life!

ANYONE who owns a pit is a Image focused person who is putting the local population at risk by his choice of breed?
Must help YOUR ego to make such sweeping generalizations, makes it easy for you to always be in the right.

Just answer those 2 questions Jubaji

1 are these trainers and so called dog experts wrong? or are you? Why would these people knowingly use an unpredictable dog and put people including children, the elderly, and disabled at risk?

2 where is the historical background of this dogs tendency of attacking people BEFORE the media hype? Before the backyard puppymills, and thug image.

Just address those two issues please.

BTW there has only been ONE recorded case of a wild wolf attacking a person on the North American continent that I am aware of, it was a Canadien railroad worker I believe.
But then according to Jubaji I could be just trying to paint the wolf in a freindly light contrary to his true nature as a killer.

                              • The fact that you keep trying to change the subject just goes to show that you know you are wrong on the central issue, which is that they are a dangerous breed and a stupid choice for a pet.

I don't care about history lessons, I am talking about current circumstances. I'm also not talking about the most highly trained professional-use circumstances, but people choosing a pet.

                                Don't think you're fooling anyone.
