  • Did Jesus use cannabis?

according to these articles, jesus and his apostles may have used a cannabis oil to help heal people. look at these articles. what do you guys think?

"Jesus Christ and his apostles may have used a cannabis-based anointing oil to help cure people with crippling diseases, it has been claimed.

Researchers in the United States say the oil used in the early days of the Christian church contained a cannabis extract called kaneh-bosem.

They suggest the extract, which is absorbed into the body when placed on the skin, could have helped cure people with a variety of physical and mental problems.

The author of the article, published in the US drugs magazine High Times, says his findings are based on a study of scriptural texts. "

"The holy anointing oil, as described in the original Hebrew version of the recipe in Exodus, contained over six pounds of keneh-bosum - a substance identified by respected etymology, linguists anthropologists, botanists and other researchers as cannabis extracted into about six quarts of olive oil along with a variety of other fragrant herbs.

"The ancient annointed ones were literally drenched in this potent mixture.

Dick I feel strongly that our laws on marijuana are misguided, ineffective, and do more damage to our society at large than the marijuana itself. I think it should be legal, and if that's not possible than at least decriminalization would be a step in the right direction. However, this sort of thing doesn't do anything but reinforce all the negative stereotypes associated with pot smokers. Even if Jesus did use an oil made from the plant all this is going to do is alienate the many of the people who revere Jesus. With this amount of shock tactics like this one it's no wonder that people don't take those of us who would like to change our nation's policies concerning drugs seriously. Just my $.02.

i dont agree with this however. shock tactics? the article was on bbc news website bro, if you think the article was a shock tactic then you should take that up with bbc news uk and email them. i was only interested in the validity of these two articles and what other people thought about them. i understand people get so emotional over jesus that they start to think and act irrationally, but that for damn sure doesnt mean i cant ask a question about him.

those two articles both say that "anointed ones" were all anointed by an oil that contained large amounts of cannabis and that this practice was common during the time. since i am not an authority on jesus and the rituals of his time, i posted this to get feedback whether or not these articles held any weight.

i understand that nowadays being inquisitive and asking questions is deeply frowned upon and can lead people to despise you and think you are crazy, but i really just wanted to know if the articles were true or not. i bet you didnt even read the articles, since neither of them had anything to do with legalization of marijuana. the reason the policies of our country dont get changed is because of people like you who jump to conclusions based on emotion without even looking at the information provided first.

Once you've gone out of your way to establish yourself as a crazy, drug-addled loon, you can't justifiably get upset that people don't take you seriously.

this is a funny statement, coming from someone who is highly suspected of impersonating a handicapped person on the forum. and if that fact doesnt make your statement pretty humorous, the fact that you tried to write a lame story about suplexing a knife wielding attacker with a move you saw on wwe raw on your recliner and tried to pass it off as a genuine experience really makes it pretty damn funny. the only thing funnier is when i see regular forum posters begging you to stop trolling the forums.

btw, you do drugs too jerkoff. alcohol is a drug, and you talk about drinking all the time, so you really have no right to look down on anyone as long as you are consuming drugs. old ass, drug addicted, lonely, uptight hypocrite is what you are. trolling this forum and pretending to be matt blake is all you got.

"highly suspected" by only you, Cheech. Your super-clever ploy has failed to win you any adherents no matter how often you lie and really makes it seem more likely than anything else that it is in fact you. Why don't we ask a moderator to check the IP and find out for sure?

More sober trolls than you have already tried that one. Keep up, Cheech.

Yes, it is. A legal drug that I don't brag about using all day everyday, that I don't try to figure out how to use while working out, that I don't try to pass off as some spiritual magic potion, and that I don't base my every view upon.

                  Three strikes, Cheech.

your getting a little too defensive here lol. dont even try to act like you arent considered to be one of the biggest trolls on this forum. posters literally beg you to stop trolling, i never seen anything like it. and whether or not you really are matt blake or not isnt even relevant at this point. you have trolled these forums so hard and so long that regardless of what you do or say people will still throw you into the same category as him. so now that you know, stfu.

its good to see that you finally admit that you do drugs. it must have been hard for an old uptight douche like you to finally have to admit to yourself that you have been nothing but a hypocrite this entire time. legal or not, its still a drug and you do brag about it quite a bit. enough so that certain forum members have signatures with your quote encouraging them to drink more alcohol.

and as for cheech? cheech marin is a celebrity and a movie star. he is a millionaire. wtf are you? a 40 year old guy pretending to be matt blake??? who are you to say anything about anyone else?

What do you mean? Its exactly in line with previous commments. Caffeine is a legal drug, just like alcohol. Try to focus, dopey.
