  • P.D.:

Even though I still feel you crossed the personal line, that WAS an exceptionally good troll.

That has been happening to me a lot lately.

Maybe I WILL smoke that hooter.

      LOL!

I wonder how many trees, starving for affection, could have been hugged in the time it took to write this vile, hostile little exchange? After being exposed to this disturbing, testosterone filled rant I must rebalance my aura. If anyone needs me I will be in the pyramid in back meditating.

        • LOL

Mad at you??? Ronin, how could I have been mad at you when I had just finished receiving fellatio from a beautiful, doe-eyed Filipina and had polished off my second burgundy prior to commencing with my little piece of hilarity?

I crossed no "personal line" in my tirade amigo. I could only do so had I said something personal. Why would you be offended at being called an idiot or a clown?

          He he he ...

Anyway, that's the spirit now grasshopper - humor. Must have BALANCE, Miyagi-son ...

          >Serious note< If you really are going through some sh!t right now, I'm sincerely sorry.

          >Back to trolling< I guess maybe it's because Darren isn't here I felt you would be the next-easiest guy I could troll and drive insane. I am almost disappointed that you were TOO easy

In any event, I want you to review this thread ten times and really have that hooter first. I am sure you will appreciate the comedy all the more. And consider the attention a compliment

Your friend at helping you reach The Truth,

          Joe

          • I am far too easy to troll right now, my friend.

Fellatio? I seem to remember that as being pleasurable. After nearly failing out of school this year, my girlfriend walked out on me (hopefully unrelated). That was a few weeks ago, and we had lived together for three years and dated for longer, so I'm a little upset. Trying to figure out why I get up in the morning and continue to work so damn hard.

Thanks for your condolence. Sorry I couldn't provide a more formidable challenge. Try E.J. I have never seen that guy get upset. Big Bird, that's another story...even if I were you I wouldn't mess with him. And Underdog...let's not even go there. At least you don't have any hair for him to set on fire! LOL.

I need to drink more beer, get laid, and possibly smoke up, in that order. I'm also restarting BJJ, so I guess that's something.

            Later.

              • You fellows are doing great. Keep up the good thread. I will check back with you next week to see if anyone has issued any formal death threats.(would the murder be committed with a gun by chance.)

                • I would never challenge Manco to a weapons duel.

                  I don't have any.

                  Well, just the one.

                  • Jesus H. Christ--halfway through that Manco post I had to throw water on my screen to put out the flames!

Ronin, you are far too available for Joe Manco trolling!

John: whatever, dude. We're getting nowhere on this issue. The driving analogy doesn't work because those deaths are ACCIDENTAL.

So we don't agree there's a problem, which means we can't even talk about a solution, which means this is a cul-de-sac.

                    • I know, I know...

I need to get a grip.

Maybe BJJ will help...if I ever get to the damn school.

                      • hey! i liked it better when you guys were gonna fight.
now instead of trees getting hugged, you guys are hugging eachother. what's up with that?!

                          • The point of my analogy was that just like reasonable speed limits, a cost vs. benefit analysis shows less restrictive gun laws provide a huge benefit to society at a very small cost.

From an objective public policy standpoint, reason dictates that guns should be even MORE available in our society.

The problem is that gun control advocates don't base their arguments on reason and scientific analysis. Their arguments are based on emotion and fear.

I believe combating ignorance and predjudice is a noble goal because it promotes freedom and liberty.

Leftists want goverment control of the unwashed masses. They believe regular people are too stupid to govern themselves. They prefer that the masses be ignorant and predjudiced. It justifies their Big Brother approach to governance and makes public opinoin easier to manipulate.

Deep in your heart you know that the majortiy of the people in this country don't know what's good for them because they are too stupid.

Since they don't know any better, it is the government's responsibility to pass laws to protect them from themselves. As parent protects a child, right? You believe government has a moral obligation to do it don't you?

                            Admit it.

                            • Sigh.

Once again, tagged with the "gun control" label. From where I don't know. I've never said anything of the sort, except that you should have a) a license to carry one, like you have for a car, and b) having bull***, meaningless loopholes for gun shows just means that there really is no law, now, is there?

What I get such a kick out of--I admit--is suggesting anything like the above just results in a pile-on. Honestly, I'm not too emotional about this because I try to bring an open mind. If you've got a better idea, I'm all ears. Why you don't scream about a driver's license--as you pointed out, along with gunshot one of the nation's biggest non-natural killers--but you do about a gun license?... well, I just don't get that.

Although, who knows: people get drivers' licenses, and look at how many morons take to the road every day?

In response to your question, yes: I do believe people in general are stupid. "Persons are smart, people are stupid," somebody once said, as contradictory as that may seem. So, you reason, I must think gov't must be entrusted to more or less babysit our dumb population.

Wrong. Who's in government? Who empowers government? PEOPLE. And nobody has perfected institutionalized stupidity more than the U.S. Government! LOL.

I'm not against them--we're never going to get rid of them--I'm against them being so EASY to obtain for anybody.

Whenever somebody starts trying to re-think this, on cue the NRA starts up with the ole' domino effect fallacy, that this is just a smoke screen for Chinese-bought Feds to take yer guns away. Well, no: John--that's not what I want at all, and I'm tired of having to defend that straw man phallacy.

BTW, I know Hawk's big on that argument and I respect his opinion. And respectfully, I'm a hell of a lot more worried about our corporate- and special-interest bought-out-from-under-us gov't and Islamic Fundamentalism than I am about Commies being the driving force behind anti-gun forces in the U.S. Did you see 60 Minutes (re: Pakistan nukes) last night??!! Sheeeet. Not that China isn't a threat, seeing that they're the only real co-superpower now. But I do believe Communism is gasping its last breaths in places like China and Cuba, and will hardly be any sort of global threat once those two finally succumb.

I don't want "more government," I'm not a "lefty." Maybe licenses aren't gonna do sheet.

In this day and age, though, I can't believe somebody can't come up with a way to combat this unnecessary by-product of American life.

But I also don't take an all-or-nothing, kamikaze approach to issues like this.

                              • Tony10:

Obviously, most of the pro-gun people on here (and in society) want little or no regulation on their right to own and purchase firearms, or even any delay.

This appears to me to be an unreasonable position, based on PASSION AND EMOTION!!! Just look at the people becoming emotional on this thread about the issue of guns - it's not the gun-controllers.
(LOL, I became emotional because I'm on a short fuse and P.D. trolled me!)

Gun people don't want to be inconvenienced, even if it would save lives. I don't understand that. They also don't trust the Constitution to protect them. I don't understand that either. I guess respect for our Government has really eroded in the years since Vietnam and Watergate. Everybody's running around screaming about "Big Brother" - look at the OK City bombers. This is a democracy fellas. There's no police state, and no hint of one. I just don't get where you're coming from.

I guess we're worlds apart on this issue. Too bad.
