How does an expert martial artist have TIME to be at his computer all the time? What about training, and teaching, and competing? Tom, you say you know Jubaji, and that he is an accomplished grappler/wrestler with experience in the CMAs? How, if he is front of his computer all day has he accomplished this?.

If he is who I think he is, then he probably teaches and does seminars and doesn't have to check into an office.

maybe thats what jubajis job is. is he paid by tim to sit in a room and troll the forum all day to cause controversy so he could get more cash off the advertisements? totally explains the matt blade thing. the crew at defend.net thought that having their resident troll jubaji make yet another screen name depicting another handicapped martial artist besides the tom yum screen name and personality, that they would get more traffic and more hits on the site. but after they saw how offended some people like me were they tried to make him seem legit by saying they called his teacher while at the same time i was receiving private messages by jubaji/tomyum/mattblake about helping him pick out a good gimp mask. dude that really explains everything. wow.

If this person is teaching, he is the worst teacher in the world. Teachers are supposed to be helpful, nurturing and professional. Has anyone here ever seen any eveidence of that in Jubaji's 7000 posts? Name calling? That's what a good teacher does? Why are you defending this guy, Tom? Why do any of you permit him to continue? You know, I have stepped in to defend Jubaji when certain people have made ugly and nasty comments to him. That's because I take things case by case. When a person is right, they are right, and when wrong, they are wrong. I can clearly see the difference, and don't usually devaluate everything someone I don't like says. Given that, every post from Jubaji to me, save one, has been unpleasant and full of him calling me names like "Moron", "Idiot", and worse. A great teacher and martial arts expert? He never once said "I respectfully disagree" or used any real logic to argue a point. His modus operandi is simply to call someone a name, then use a one liner, and then make everyone think that the mighty Jubaji has spoken, and that is sufficient. No Tom, you are gravely wrong on this. Jubaji talks to me (and others) as though I am some pimply faced anonymous teenager. Never once has he considered who I am, or what I do for a living. How does he know that I may or may not hold a position of great respect and authority? Yet he assumes that I am just an "idiot" because I am not a conservative republican. Well, I know for a fact some of you are conservatives, and pretty much all my friends are. I get along with most just fine, because they do not insult me personally, as Jubaji has done countless times.

If you look back, I've told jubaji to be more polite to others. I told him to treat Boar the way he'd want to be treated.

its a good example, and i know full well the extent that i have been stigmatized because of some of the things ive said, but i thats fine with me. if people want to dismiss anything i have to say because i like weed and pink floyd or because im interested in ufos thats ok with me. im not really here to prove anything, just here to throw in my 2 cents and have some interesting conversations and create some interesting threads. i really dont care enough to even make another screen name. this is the only one i use.

Sometimes, I wonder if people don't create alternate profiles so they can post things without having to worry about getting beat up over their opinions. For example, things I've posted years ago don't necessarily fit with the things I believe today. I learn every day, and I've honestly outgrown some of those old ideas and habits. Now, a mature, grown-up adult recognizes that, and has no problem with it. However, someone like Uke likes to dig up anything they can find from however long ago and brow beat you with it, saying you're contradicting yourself. I can understand some folks wanting to avoid that.

Multiple profiles are no big deal to me. I think if people use them as a way to try and get away with breaking the rules, then it's an issue. Other than that? Hey, it's the internet. No one is who they say they are...are they?

Good stuff, Mike. I think Hardman has come up with some great posts in the past.

The issue with multiple profiles as I see it is when others get accused of being someone else when they've only used one profile the entire time.

I think others dislike it for other reasons.

A sad day in MA history.

I think it's sad that people have to feel they need to be someone else because they can't change their opinion on something without some idiot berrating them.
Small mindedness is one reason the world we live in is so fraught with disillusionment and misunderstandings of other people's beliefs.

People's views change as they get older it's part of growth. The more you learn and understand the more you grow. If your opinions on things never changed then you'd still want ice cream for dinner every night and girls would still be icky and have cooties.

I think if you see something from someone else's point of view and it changes your mind you should be allowed to admit it without having to suffer some immature jerks comments and jabs. Just because someone else is too ignorant to grow and learn doesn't mean you should have to hide behind the shield of an alter ego to avoid an internet bully.

Is it more terrifying to admit someone else may have a better view of things, but we can step into a ring with a 300lb gorilla someone taught to box? It's a sad day when emotion can get the best of someone who fears no man in the ring.
