a la mode, as in "in the fashion" or as the style which is currently fashionable. This could actually mean anything depending on what the fashion may be. A la mode could just as easily mean "low-sugar, low-fat, low carb" these days as "with ice cream" in former days. But yeah, I Like Pie.
