This evening I tried to join a Self Protection forum here in the UK. I wrote one post, just introducing myself, and in that post I made the fatal error of expressing a sense of humour.

I was banned 9 minutes later.

I don't think there is anything offensive or derrogatory in the post, and maybe its just me, but its clearly just a bit of tongue n cheek fun.

Maybe I over estimated the sense of humour, and under estimated the homophobia, of our self protection bretheren

OK, I'm seeing that the opinion certainly seems to be in favour of the moderators of that forum, so perhaps justice has been served.

I thought it was a pretty harmless bit of humour, but perhaps martial artists really do take themselves that seriously. I was just trying to have a bit of fun.

Sarcasm is hard to detect over the internet. Mix that in with the fact that the joke comes off as kinda "trollish" I'm not surprised they banned you since they don't know you like we do :-/. Screw them, who likes the UK anyways, right?
