Exotic taste for a guy who lives on the hangy down part of the country...
I don't know if there's a "shelf life" on dried fish parts but most of the FRESH stuff around here is several days are even weeks (dead)... Nothing against fermented style quisine but...
I'd enjoy various "sushi" dishes more if it didn't involve sitting on a toilet 10 times a day...
It was my birthday on Friday, so I spent Saturday with my family drinking lots of Cobra beer, Rioja, Malbec, and some Highland Single Malt for good measure.

On the other forum I mainly post on, it's mostly rum drinkers, and specifically, those into exotic, tropical drinks....
But for me, I usually get the following:
Mini keg of Heineken light
and/or Gin and Tonic, my favorite drink!
The gin has to be Bombay sapphire, the tonic water hopefully Stirrings, but if not a shweppes will do. The trick is the ice has to be very fresh. It can't have been in your fridge very long. Then a twist of lime! Good drink that is not to sweet!
I normally lean toward Jack Daniels Single barrel, in a tumbler, neat.
