  • Patch, Paint, Paddle

So my father in law gave me an old canoe he had. It is pretty nice it had a hole in the bottom so I had to patch that.

And it needed a good paint job, but first some sanding, so I started that as well.

I am using car/auto primer and paint, and then a clear coat. I may eventually add a skid plate to it too.

Here's some pics. I took em with my phone so not the best,

Naw lol. That's just the primer. I am going to paint it bronze with royal blue accents, per my wife (the other paddle powering the boat.

Actually I'm about to put the first coat on now. I'll post some pics soon.

Still have to do a few trim pieces and then some layers of clear coat. After that the electric buffer, and then onto the interior.

Need to pad the seats and put a fresh coat of white paint on the inside.

Weekend after next I'll be taking it out on the water.

Thanks tant0. Didn't have any mishaps though the river was way down and we almost had to get out and carry it a few times. Didn't get any pictures cause I couldn't find my water proof camera or my water proof bag.

Was a nice little 2 hour float and lots of sun
