  • Gap where two skirting boards meet

    Morning All,

I’ve noticed this morning in our house we bought last year that there is a gap between the corners of the skirting board. Unfortunately an ant problem that’s begun to emerge highlighted the fact and I’m now keen to block off the access before I silicone the outside area under the French doors.

The beading is being replaced thanks to my puppy but I’m wondering whether or not I’ll be able to get away with simply caulking the gap. Or whether I’ll need to get some wood filler in there. Gap is about 4mm.

    Thanks in advance

One thing to consider is the type of material and finish that works best for your space. For example, if you want something that’s durable and easy to maintain, you might want to check out some of the options available on this site: https://mdfskirtingworld.co.uk/skirting-boards/. They have a range of styles that can fit different tastes and needs. Make sure to look at the specifications and reviews to find the best match for your project!
