Bascially, we all have the luxery of hind sight. We are talking about this after the fact. The truth is...some of us posting on this thread (and you know who you are) were very unsure about what was going to happen the day the twin towers were hit. We were very unsure about what was going to happen with Saddam. We were also very unsure who was going to be president.

No one knows what would have happen if Iraq would of complied with 1441. No one knows what would have happened if Gore would have been in office, no one knows what would have happened if Afganistan would have just given us Bin Laden.

We simply do not know the alternate destinys. Maybe things could have gone better, maybe worse. The point is we do not know.

And as informed as the President is, I know he does not know the alternate destinys either.

And since we do not know for sure what would have happened, there is no point in saying "would of, could of, should of".

He got delt his cards, he played his hand the best he knew how, and now here we are.


Would it matter if everyone on this board said "Ok, he is a bad president"? No, it would not matter a lick. He would still be in office and then we would find something else to complain and argue about.

If we are going to argue, how about we argue about Martial Arts.

With his cheerleading experience Bush could undoubtedly become a very powerful martial artist in a short while(see "Buffy the Vampire Killer" not the television serie which is all lies but the film which dares to tell the truth) he'd be especially strong in all those techniques where you jump up in the air and shout. He could then hunt down our nation's enemies (they hide in caves you have to smoke them out) and bring them back dead or alive

No one cares (well not many) who President Clinton had in his lap in the oval office. What they do care about is obstruction of justice and perjury to a grand jury. However, Mr. Clinton was acquitted in the Senate, so he never done nothin' illegal...right?

There are a huge amount of Clinton Bashers. There are an even larger number of Bush Haters. Hell, even the Lesbians are against Bush!?!? Go figure?

The same people who hate America and its leaders for doing what we do are the same people who depend on America... and it's leaders (****ed up as they may be) for their daily bread. And they just can't stand it...

I don't particularly like the President, nor did I vote for him. I don't much care for many of the politicians we have. All they care about is getting in and staying in.... kinda like a group of ticks. However, bashing the President and this country is not a wise nor an appreciated move. We'll remember that the next time the Germans, Huns, Mongols, Cossacks or Muslims invade...

See there is a difference between dissent and disrespect.

So because the US was instrumental in defeating the Germans more than 50 years ago, I shouldn't critasize a President who's decisions have an impact on the whole world, who's decisions have made it clear that you can't make an agreement anymore because any following administration will put it aside
Somehow this President of yours saw fit to no longer stick to old agreements but on the other hand demand others do
SOmehow, it is normal to push a law that allows your country to invade another NATO country ( which would cause a giant dillema because other NATO countries would be obliged to help the attacked country)

You fought for your country to preserve those very ideals that let people have the freedom to engage in unpatriotic talk. Why? Because they just might feel the need to. And then you're telling foreigners it's none of their business, when George W Bush's knee-jerk decisions and actions reverberate throughout the world, affecting EVERYONE. Hate to break it to ya, but the US Presidency is just as much our business as it is yours. It BECAME our business when Dubya decided to invade Afghanistan and Iraq. (not debating those two here)
