I am willing to discuss Judo as it pertains to classical versus modern training I feel that I am able to point out the obvious failings of U.S.Judo and the miserable showings in olympic competition. I feel very strongly that there is alot wrong with the way it is taught and administered all the way from the top down.
I feel that the very basics are not taught properly as a whole in this country and that the emphasis on tradition and cultural aspects keeps people from improving and and helps explain the backwardness of this superior martial art. I do feel that judo is superior as a fighting method and that so called Brazilian jujitsu is just old style judo the way it was 100 years ago originally before it was improved to make the modern sport of today. I have seen it in a alot of Jujitsu wannabees, tne winging it in the so called teaching methods. And I think that the proof would be that any time someone is thrown (rare occasion) in the UFC"s they get a standing ovation! Anybody wants to argue ,my point is that the emphasis on bowing and kow towing is ridiculus maintained by the politicians and power grubbers to try to maintain somekind of brainwashing effect on their students! Whether it be to have someone call them "Master" Which should be repugnent to any American , Let alone black people! But take your average Scrappy wrestler type and tell them they gotta bow to any body! I would like to end this by saying that it isn't a hard concept the way to teach Judo OR dynamic movement and that is teach it the way it actually happens (Video tape ,pictures etc.) do not teach it standing still or use analogies of sticks and boxes. These are simple concepts and they are certainly not my original ideas!
