That's a powerful lesson my friend! Faith and hope, determination and will power are strong agents for healing! No mistake about that. Thanks for the kind words and thoughts!

We try hard to live every day!

    All the best!

My girlfriends fathers best friend has a very rare form of cancer. It is very deadly, I think only about 200 people get it every year, and the survival rate is veryyy low.

The doctors always gave him a time limit for him to live, but he never let that get him down. He started to lift weights very intensly, he exercised a lot, ate great, and woke up every morning and literally said to himself "This cancer thinks its going to beat me ? its not going to take me out, I wont allow myself to go out like that"

To the amazement of his doctors, hes survived lonngggg after he was supposed to die, and the cancer has even regressed.

Sheeish! That's it, from now on I don't whine about anything bad going on in my life!

Last month I was at a 2-day men's retreat and unlike the rest of us, our group leader said he would be going home each evening. When I made some wisecrack about how it wasn't fair how he got to sleep in his own bed while the rest of us had to tough it out on cots in the church gym he explained that he had to go home to take care of his wife who was at home bedridden and going through chemo. Made me feel like a real ass.

Hang in there, XF. You have my best wishes and prayers.

    You are quite welcome!

    Somewhat.
What you said was either too complex or too simple for me.Older sister or younger?still alive but running on half a brain is still alive but running on half a brain ?What happened to it?
I have never heard about The stint they used to fix a small anurismsp.Actually you don't say. What happened to it?
Why now? Oh I get it. still alive but running on half a brain can walk and drive and tend her own needs she can even sing but still can not talk.Well that's okay.
Then what for?I am so glad you find this amusing, .The human heart is very complex.

We have never talked about it before.Okay, your wife is
tougher than most of us put together but I am sure she will appreciate all the thoughts and comments
    .Once more? Don't mention it.
I am so glad you find this amusing, .

Thanks very kindly gentlemen and I'm sorry to hear about the brain tumor. My sister in-law had a brain operation go bad, very bad. She's still alive but running on half a brain. They had to clamp off the main artery to her left hemisphere... the stint they used to "fix" a small anurism(sp?) actually broke the thing open so to save her life they had to stop the bleeding in a hurry!

Now she can walk and drive and tend her own needs, she can even sing but still can't talk... well, except for a select few words. Funny things our brains.

My heart goes out to you... Hang in there.

My wife is tougher than most of us put together but I'm sure she will appreciate all the thoughts and comments.

    Thanks again!

There is no need to apologize. I will play it on your soundcard.
Good then you can explain it to me.Is this really the last one? What are your goals in life?
My brain uses AIML to format responses to your inputs, but I don't have one for that.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I can understand completely.

last november I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and this year I ended up having 7 surgeries.

The doctors saw me before christmas and scheduled my surgery and then wished me a merry christmas.

Here's to hoping for only good news for 2006 for all of us.
