North Vietnamese forces take over Saigon; South Vietnam surrenders to North Vietnam, ending the war and reunifying the country under communist control, forming the Independent Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Washington extends embargo to all of Vietnam.
NOTE: WE THE US DIDNT LOSE! It isnt our fault that South Vietnam gave up.
We did not stop the spread of communism, that was our goal...south vietnam gave up because we pulled out and left them to fold...if we were gonna do that we could have stayed home...it would have saved ALOT of lives and money...yes we kept te commies busy in vietnam...so communism didnt spread as much in other parts of the world as it could have...hey that sounds familiar ...remember though in the end it failed

Noriega took refuge in the Vatican nunciature (embassy) in Panama, until he surrendered to U.S. authorities on January 3, 1990, and was then transported to Miami, Florida. There he stood trial, was convicted on a host of charges, and was sentenced to a U.S. prison.
Complete freakin disaster....this could have been dealt with for pennies numerous times....it was a typical BS op that got SF slaughtered

nice example of us winning because the other guys were incompetent...we seem to get by on that alot lately...that always ends badly.

The main coalition forces invaded Kuwait and S Iraq on Feb. 24 and, over the next four days, encircled and defeated the Iraqis and liberated Kuwait. When U.S. President George H. W. WE won that back in 91 huh? then WTF are you doing there now? building disney land? i dont think so..youre still fighting that war...Mission accomplished my ass. Daddy didnt finish it the first time...JR aint gonna finish it this time either...

Ok here is the big one.
you think you won? just cause Bush says so? HE can declare mission accomplished all day...Arent the other side still killing people? doesnt that directly contradict the the statement we won? didnt they kill more of us last month than ANY other? sounds to me like an increase in action, not a decrease...it might be a tad early for the victory celebrations...

Remember dude we WON virtually every BATTLE we fought in vietnam...the communists STILL took the country

By the way since you wanna list the fun stuff..

2 Saddam Hussein is a tyrant that has demonstrated a complete disregard for human life and should be brought to justice.

3 The people of Iraq are an oppressed people, and the world has a duty to help these people.

4 The oil reserves of the region are necessary to the world's economy.

5 A rogue element like Saddam threatens the oil reserves of the entire region.

6 The practice of appeasement only fosters even bigger tyrants.

7 By removing Saddam Hussein, the world of the future is safer from terrorist attacks. (Weather it be on his own people or not)

8 The removal of Saddam Hussein would uphold previous UN resolutions and give the body some credibility.

In the end we win we got F*** face and wiped out his army.

PS: Realy its sad to see how little Americans care or even want to care about the war. I was using Yahoo to get my facts and when i looked up the current war in Iraq to get some numbers I was verry disapointed to see the garbage that is out there. 80% of the sites are nothing but B****ing and trash talking the US, Army, and Bush. Seriously people, look you all may not love it but we did the right thing. Some of you say we arnt the world police, but if you look at it we are the only country with the power to do the right and just thing. When entire towns and cities are being bombed with Bio and Chemical weapons by their own country are we just to let them and say its their problem and not ours? If anything it needs to be stoped. Im not going to say the USA is perfect but no one is. The US tries to do the right thing. We allways have seince we started out as colnies. If you look at our constatution you will see we are simply trying to do the right thing. Some one in the world needs to stand up and say hey what your doing isnt right, and at this point in time the USA is the only one with the power to back that idea. For all the people who think the war is wrong, tell me how stoping a man killing his people with Bio and chemical weapons is wrong. Do you even know what weapons like this do? They attack your body somethimes causing all your muscles in your body to contract as hard as they can. You will throw up and all your blood vessles will burst. Then after about 30 min of pure pain your muscles will contract so much you will break your own back. Not to mention the Bio weapons will eat away at your skin. Mothers will give birth to deformed babies. People will endure what to them is a life of hell. Yet we are wrong for stoping it. If anything it is moraly wrong to not do anything. To watch someone do this and not act is just as bad as doing it yourself.
Who do you think develops all those cute little weapons dude? Remember We are the super power..We are the only nation to ever nuke anyone...We have all those weapons and then some...funny thing man saddam used those weapons in the 80's on Iran..we didnt mind..hell we sent advisors...whats changed except the dates? hehehe there is even still a Bush in office.

See my point youre spilling your blood to reverse shit Daddy Bush supported...ever feel like youre bashing your head against a wall?...those afghan dudes giving us so much trouble? gee we trained them too...under DADDY BUSH HMMM can you say WE are our OWN worse enemy? Do you know who financed the Soviet Union? HMMMM...

      • Bin Laden had a bullet ready in case he was caught

        LOS ANGELES (Reuters) -
Osama bin Laden has vowed never to be taken alive and once gave his bodyguard a pistol with two bullets to shoot him if it appeared that he might be caught, according to a new book of interviews with people who know the al Qaeda leader.

        Anderson Cooper

The book excerpted in the new issue of Vanity Fair, "The Osama bin Laden I Know: An Oral History" by CNN security expert Peter Bergen, also says bin Laden intensely dislikes deposed Iraqi leader
        Saddam Hussein.

After the 2001 attacks on the United States carried out by al Qaeda the Bush administration made much of what it said were links between Saddam and bin Laden's organization, citing this as one justification for the 2003 invasion of
        Iraq.

Bush said in a speech in October 2002 that "we've learned that Iraq has trained al Qaeda members in bomb-making and poisons and gases."

Bin Laden's Pakistani biographer, Hamid Mir, told Bergen that when he interviewed bin Laden, the al Qaeda leader "condemned Saddam Hussein ... He gave such kind of abuses that it was very difficult for me to write," he said.

In an interview with Bergen, bin Laden's former chief bodyguard said, "Sheikh Osama gave me a pistol and made me his personal bodyguard. The pistol had only two bullets, for me to kill Shiekh Osama with in case we were surrounded or he was about to fall into the enemy's hands, so that he would not be caught alive."

Bergen, who met bin Laden in 1997, interviewed more than 50 people over eight years to produce the book which will be published next month.

In the Vanity Fair excerpt, Bergen said that contrary to claims from the Bush administration, bin Laden was in the mountainous eastern
Afghanistan region of Tora Bora after the fall of the Taliban, in 2001.

Reports at the time said U.S.-backed Afghan forces scoured the area in a vain bid to catch bin Laden and his top lieutenants, although there has never been any U.S. confirmation that he was definitely there.

Abu Jaafar al-Kuwaiti, an eyewitness, posted an account about the morning of December 10, 2001, on al-Qaeda's main Web site, writing: "We received the horrifying news! The trench of Sheikh Osama had been destroyed; the trench where Sheikh used to come out every day to check the moujahedeen situation and follow the news of the battle. God kept Osama bin Laden alive, because he left the bunker only two nights to an area only 200 metres (650 feet) away."

The United States is still trying to catch bin Laden, who U.S. officials say they believe to be still somewhere in the Afghanistan-Pakistan border region.

Dude there is no such thing as a wmd lab. It is simply a weapons lab.

Brig. Gen. Benjamin Freakley, of the Army's 101st Airborne Division, said Monday soldiers found what they thought were 11 mobile chemical and biological laboratories

"Initial reports indicate that this is clearly a case of denial and deception on the part of the Iraqi government," Freakley told CNN's Ryan Chilcote. "These chemical labs are present, and now we just have to determine what in fact they were really being used for."

Troops found the mobile laboratories near a weapons plant outside Karbala, about 50 miles south of Baghdad. Though buried, they appeared to contain about $1 million worth of equipment and were "clearly marked so they could be found again," Freakley said.

"There is evidence to support mobile production capability for chemical and biological weapons," Myers said. "It does not take a lot of space for some of this work to go on. It can be done in a very, very small location. And the fact that you can put it on wheels makes it a lot easier to hide from people that might be looking for it."

A mobile biological weapons production facility capable of making significant amounts of materiel could be set up in three to five tractor-trailers, according to a senior Pentagon official who spoke to reporters on condition of anonymity Friday.

Iraq's biological weapons program produced thousands of anthrax and deadly botulinum toxin before the 1991 Persian Gulf War, U.N. weapons inspectors found. The inspectors concluded they had too little evidence to believe Iraqi claims that all the materiel was destroyed and said Iraq could have produced much more than it acknowledged.

                    • All of them can be made into a simple warhead and put on the missles below.

Iraq has an undetermined number of Al-Hussein missiles, which are a modified version of the Scud-B ballistic missile. The Al-Hussein has a range of 400 miles (644 kilometers) and has the ability to carry chemical or biological weapons. U.N. resolutions ban Iraq from having missiles with this range but a British government report said that Iraq has illegally retained up to 20 al-Husseins.

raq developed the short range Al-Samoud ballistic missile, which was allowed under U.N. resolutions as long as its range did not extend beyond 93 miles (150 km). But a panel of experts commissioned by chief U.N. weapons inspector Hans Blix found that the range limit was violated during test firings and the diameter of the missiles' engines was 760 millimeters, exceeding the 600-millimeter limit.

                      Scud C Missile
                      Length: 10.9 meters (35 feet)
                      Diameter: .88 meters (2.5 feet)
                      Weight: 6,200 kilograms (13,670 pounds)
                      Propulsion: single-stage liquid propellant
Warheads: Chemical, high explosives, or cluster bombs
                      Range: 500 kilometers (311 miles)
Accuracy: Within 1,000 meters (3,300 feet)
