how about because he got to stay in office? and isnt scumbag an awful nice word for a murderer? isnt that what driving a car off a bridge while drunk then leaving the passenger to drown and not telling anyone would be called? vehicular homicide?..leaving the scene of a fatal accident?....

what about the fact the president slept in a coffin? so did the one before him, and the one before that...At least one of our presidents is KNOWN to have robbed a grave...yet you think our political system is alright? there are 10 people from the current admin under SERIOUS charges as we discuss this. With many more to come, some of those under investigation have been smiling lately...that means they rolled on someone bigger

    • Our political system has all kinds of issues, all sorts of holes in it, and lots of effed up people - but giving up, and just saying it's one evil or another? That's worse.

Gotta fight for your rights, yours and everyone else you care about - thats what this country is supposed to be all about. Sure, it's hard to pick a decent presidential candidate - I haven't seen one I wanted to vote for in years. I think this next election I'll write in Boarspear. We could use an opiniated president. The senatorial elections are better - the choices are better, and less people are voting for them, so it's easier to make a difference.
Standing aside to let something evil in, is almost the same as committing the crime yourself.

Yes, that would be "play", wouldn't it? Taking snippets of decontextualized information, mixing it with rumor, juvenile theory, and personal bias (if not outright fantasy) and then declaring that the case cannot be disputed. Tiresome. That's exactly the kind of play you irrational nut-cases love. It's your reason for living. It's sad.

Because he got to stay in office, you no longer have a responsibility as a citizen? You are utterly devoid of reason.

And you can go ahead and call him every name in the book. I'm no fan. In fact, I once got into a nose-to-nose shouting matching with the fat ol' bastard.

                      • when was the last time we had a candidate you actually looked up to?

I wouldn't have voted for Nader, but I wanted to point this out:

In the last election he was on the ballot in any number of states either because the Greens had won enough votes in previous elections to present a candidate, or because he had amassed adequate signatures in that state. In other words he was on the ballot because there was good evidence (as defined by the laws of the states) that people wanted to vote for him.

So, rather than fight the greens in an election the democrats sued each state to get him off the cards. That's your current political process, folks.

they didnt sue to get Col Bo Gritz out of the election, they burned him out, and Bo wound up shot ... He was the best chance this country has had since Kennedy...in fact Bo wanted the same thing that Kennedy and Lincoln both enacted...right before they were assasinated...and was shelved as soon as they were buried but there isnt any conspiracy

                          • "The U.S. Government did not publicly admit that U.s. military personnel remained in the custody of the Red army in Russia upon the return of the American Expeditionary Force in Russia. However, on April 18, 1921, the New York Times reported:

It has been demonstrated that the Soviet government is holding Americans in the hope that the United States will recognize the Soviet [government] or enter into trade relations with it or release communists from prison in this country...[22]

Three months later, President Harding responded to an appeal from Moscow for "bread and medicine" for the "children and the sick." He instructed a member of his staff, Herbert Hoover, to cable a reply to Moscow that the American Relief Administration would undertake relief for one million Russian children and provide some medical supplies for their hospitals--but subject to certain conditions.[23]

August 20, 1921, a formal agreement between the Soviet Union and the United States, the "Riga Agreement," was concluded. Among the conditions for the U.S. aid to the Soviets was the following:

The Soviet Authorities having previously agreed as the absolute sine qua non of any assistance on the part of the American people to release all Americans detained in Russia and to facilitate the departure from Russia of all Americans so desiring, the A.R.A. [American Relief Administration] reserves the right to suspend temporarily or terminate all of its relief work in Russia in case of failure on the part of the Soviet Authorities to fully comply with this PRIMARY condition...[emphasis added].[24]

The United States government expected the repatriation of approximately 20 U.S. citizens; but, in fact, more than 100 Americans were repatriated as a result of this agreement.

As Herbert Hoover wrote in his autobiography:

The provision for release of American prisoners was suggested by Secretary Hughes, who informed me the Department knew that there were about twenty of them. More than a hundred American prisoners in Russian dungeons were released on September 1, [1921].[25]"

                            ............................................................................................
This was the report from WW1 on POWs we bought back from the Russians after WE DENIED their existence... This is proof of the pattern...it aint theory, it happened.

In WW2 it was 20,000 Americans and the Russians wanted 6 billion in aid...we said keep 'em.

it happened in korea...and Vietnam...and the US gov covers it up...but there aren't any conspiracies huh?

The more you continue to list the things you don't like about government, the more you reinforce the point that you need to get off your lazy ass and do something rather than bitching and moaning about it.
