I downloaded their knife tactics video but from a p2p program. Some techniques look unrealistic though =/

I've heard its such a great system.. and was referred to this instructor as a particularly good one, maybe even the guy who invented it... heard about how its so good for self defense.. then looking at the website I found this...

and BoarSpear you think the Gracies make alot of claims about their ground work... lol...

Actually I know the guy who posted many of those (though I only watched the first two on this collection, as I've seen enough for me, personally, in the past).

After viewing some "knife defence" where the attacker seemed to fall down for no reason, and questioning it, he agreed to show me some stuff.

We were in a boxing ring, with no other obstacles. We used his own aluminium knife (I wanted to use rubber, but he preferred the aluminium) and I set about attacking him. It was clear throughout which hand my knife was in.

Now it does seem that we disagree on the outcome. He has stated that I only caught him about three times. But I remember catching him doznes and dozens of times, with a hit rate of well over 50%. And I didn't magically fall down, neither.

But e did agree that Systema is NOT the art for me. He has since clarified that he merely didn't have the skill level to use the defences without hurting me, so I'm grateful for that.

It did seem to work well enough on the clips though, with his own students. The only pain they might have suffered was when they threw themselves... I mean fell, on the floor.
