    Kvetch much?
Nope. Just trying to keep you on topic. And I noticed that you still haven't answered Mike's questions.

Lol @ Troll Virus. His idea of winning a debate is to just quote every damn line of the other poster's comments with snide and patronizing quips and inundate them with questions until they get bored and give up at which point he claims victory. Winning debates by attrition not logic innit. And people wonder why others take the piss out of him right.

        Absolutely.
Let's face it, the people who would really be worth hearing from on topics like this, are those too busy dealing with reality to be posting on discussion forums, even if they do have the luxuries of electricity, or even know what a computer is.

The fact that TrollVirus has gotten so up in arms trying to argue...something, just proves how great we have it here. The fact that this is a great country has inspired him to want to sharpshoot it and try and make it somehow seem less because even though we haven't said word one about the UK being a "lesser nation," he feels a need to defend it against statements that were never targeted there to begin with.
        Christ on a bike. LOL.
        I'm not sharp shooting it.
I look at it this way.....
Tree lizard makes a post stating how fabulous America is, then goes on to label anyone who says it isn't so as a Kvetch.
I point out that that approach is the very thing that creates the 'kvetching', trying desperately hard to avoid the odious comparison of statistics.

TV, when I asked you to list for me the things I've ignored, you didn't.
        I did Mike, if you read up, you'll find I said;
        I did.
One, was the issue of the 'Kyoto' agreement, which I've already posted as a seperate discussion in the 'Open Access' section of the forum, titled, the end of the world is nigh.

The other was about the true WOMD in the middle East, which is of course Opium/Heroin.

When I've asked you to confirm or refute the validity of the articles in question here, you ignored even that. So let me ask something else. What point are you trying to make?
I didn't ignore it, but they're not relevant to the point I was making, which is essentially the same as one we've covered before.
e.g. 'America won WW2' kind of statements have exactly the same affect on the rest of the world as 'America is the most charitable Nation'.
Now dismiss that as kvetching if you will.
I just called it as I saw it, with no malice.

I'd gladly sit down and have a beer with Troll Virus. You? I'd toast in the hopes that the beer truck was sitting outside parked on your miserable head.
The feeling's mutual, and I'd drink to that (once I'd finished parking the truck).

        To the anonymous coward currently referring to itself as nutter;

As far as I'm concerned, this is a discussion.
Not a debate, not an arguement, a discussion.
When I talk to people, I like to weigh and react to everything they say to be sure I have missed nothing.
It's rather irritating when people just pick a couple of lines from a multifaceted post and respond to them, without taking the time to comprehend what is being said in its original context.
In actual fact this is caused by one of your cronies, the one who posts as Cactusdan, who regularly waits until he gets a response to a post, then edits the post.
Quoting a post in it's entirety foils that particular tactic. Innit.

And people wonder why others take the piss out of him right.
Unless you want to give me your full name and address, I have no interest in you.
You honestly think what you and a few other anonymous trolls say, makes some kind of impact on me and/or others?
        You are mentally ill.

Inevitably, this will be just another forum you pissed on for a bit before they changed the locks on you.
You don't care about MA, or other people, so long as you have your little Walter Mitty adventure and most importantly to you, someone pays attention.
        Go suck cock.

            No.
Friends of mine in New York will check that address for me.
Once they establish the occupier, we'll all know whether you are a liar or not.

Could we have your telephone number in case they need directions?

Sweet. I tried to check it with the internet but didn't get far. Somebody please go to Nut's Mom's house and confirm the presence of a basement with computer and a mini-fridge full of sausage-n-cheez Hot Pockets.

There are probably posters too. The Girls of Budlight circa 1998, maybe even a Spuds McKenzie poster from '86 (allbeit dusty).

Its a small point perhaps... but sparked by the mention of economic growth and so on.

America is spectaculary environmentally unfriendly. Was still using CFC's many years after people knew what they did to the atmosphere and had consequently banned them in Europe. That was the first example to come to mind. Industry prospers when unconstrained by small considerations like not completely destroying what is around them. Every American owns a car... fantastic. When low lying cities get annihilated by global warming something tells me that it will occur to very few people that perhaps the many inefficient cars and cheap fuel was not the most cunning of ideas. Got to stop the rant now. At least partly because i have no idea how old this thread is.
Really did like the probability of being born in america being put at 1/20. How the hell you figure that one is beyond me. But yeah, no more ranting.
