The reason I defend cops is the same reason that I support the troops; because anyone who puts their lives on the line in service to others, deserves some respect, instead of being chastised for terrible decisions made by OTHER PEOPLE that they had nothing to do with.

Oh i dunno, I know quite a few good men who left the force BECAUSE they said it was completely corrupt. The cops who did all that to Siler got 10 months? and you wanna claim there isnt something going on? 5 cops beat him, electrocuted his testicles, broke his bones and threatened to kill him and plant a gun on him, it was captured on tape and they got 10 months??? and THE POLICE UNIONS are appealing it as unfair??? Where did I say something wasn't going on? What I said was that it isn't indicative of the behavior of "all" police officers. There's a difference.
