you mean the majority of them?? STFU and go hug your cop friend who dips his bullets in holy water...you facillitate the bad ones by defending the lot, think about it...you make it easier on the scumbags lizard

If the good cops are so many, and the bad so few, why dont the good ones round up the bad? If we ignore a crime we're guilty as an accomplice...a cop who ignores a crooked cop is doing his job, the thin blue line is now fat and yellow.

Oh, I see, so I'm responsible for people who choose to do horrible things because I say that they're not in the majority.

And btw, do you really think all cops should be held accountable for those that **** up, or just the ones who did the deed?

All who support them and help cover it up. Aiding and abbeting the enemy so to speak...if the system didnt encourage the bahavior it wouldnt be the norm.
Cops even complian if they speak out they wont get back up when they need it. Lets also not forget the guy who lost his suit in the supreme court because he was turned down for police work because his IQ was too high..smart cops are a bad thing? Only if those who hire 'em have something to hide

Do you have any actual reasons for believing it's the norm other than emotional ones?

I can read...And I do ....I was arrested for being a black male 6 foot 2 inches tall who robbed a bank in 1982 in miami FL the arrest happened in 1990 and was a felony takedown...it went to jury trial...where the pictures of the actual criminal were introduced to the JUDGE...she looked at my five foot 10 WHITE ass and dismissed charges...The state of fl was less than apologetic...cops ARE freakin stupid....I'm so far from black it aint funny, yet the 5 arresting cops even had pictures of the person they were SUPPOSED to be looking for...instead they ran me off the road with no warning and put guns in my face Thankfully they didnt torture me to make me reveal my true black identity

So you're saying that because you had a bad experience (which I can certainly sympathize with, btw), that proves that it is the norm? I just want to point out that a personal anecdote is far from statistical.

Personal experiences, experiences of friends and family and reading world news provides PLENTY of proof to anyone willing to look. Assuming they have a clear open mind, some idiots believe and tell people that Bruce Lee died from smoking pot though.

So if somebody has personal anecdotes, their friends' personal anecdotes and reads the newspaper, they can make statistical analyses based on that information?

I would say personal experience and the treatment of my family members by them speaks louder than any statistics....Do a survey, ask how many people you know have been unduly hassled, arrested or beaten by a cop? Then ask how many had similiar treatment from a stranger.... see which number is higher

(I'm sure lizard doesnt know anyone ) and will now slam my friends and family

I'm sorry you and your family members have had bad experiences. I still don't think you can make statistical judgements based on personal anecdotes. All your stories "prove" is that you and your family members have had bad experiences, not that it is "the norm." Your survey wouldn't even prove that it is the norm.

I'm not going to lie and say that nobody I know has been hassled by cops (though my friends that have been beaten, raped and murdered it was usu. either strangers or acquaintances, not cops), in any case a survey of a small group of people isn't likely to be statistically accurate either.

so if everyone has stories of bad cops, but not everyone has a good cop story that means nothing huh? If everyone has a bad cop story but not an un-uniformed thug story that means nothing either huh? Thats the attitude that allows people to be drug from their homes and put in camps Its easier to deny its happening until it happens to YOU

Not "everyone" has stories of bad cops. That's exactly my point. Your family members are not a representative sample. I have bad cop stories. I have a lot more good cop stories. It would be interesting to try to dig up the # of citizen complaints compared to the # of incidents. I'm sure you're going to argue that people who have been wronged would often not file a complaint, but there's plenty of people who file complaints unnecessarily, too. And by the way, there IS a process that would stop people from being drug in their homes and put in camps. I'm also failing to see how my lack of acceptance of your GUESS of what happens to "everyone" would allow such injustices to happen. I fight tooth and nail for people who have been harmed unjustly, no matter who the perpetrator is.

Thats why you never do anything but defend the cops in these threads What ya doing for the wronged in chicago? or eugene? Nadda but you're in here defending the scum that allowed it to happen and now cover it up to protect the thin blue line.

I'm not defending the cops who you posted about, THEIR actions were reprehensible. I'm simply pointing out that they are the exception to the rule, since you continue to insist that this is the norm based on some articles in the paper and some personal experiences. I'm sure there's plenty of situations where your opinions would differ from the newspaper and personal anecdotes, so you may want to think about how you come to the conclusions you do, that is if you're more interested in accuracy that your own opinion.

Do you really think that saying what happened in Chicago and Eugene is the norm really helps anybody?
