To those who dont know and to those that are interested,April 25th is Anzac day for Australia and New Zealand.ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
The date is the anniversary of the landings at Gallipoli,Turkey.
The day is marked by Veterans of the wars that each country has participated in marching in the cities and being recognised and Honoured for the sacrificies they gave during wartime for there countries.
"They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them."
