My Xbox 360 is broken and out of warranty, and I need your help to help me figure what is wrong with it.My Xbox 360 used to not read discs properly until I took it apart and re-glued the magnet in place, although it still will not read discs. But now (after I have reglued the magnet), the fans gradually get faster and faster until the Xbox turns off and flashes 2 red lights. I was thinking that it was a problem in the disc drive, because it STILL cannot read discs, but I think it might also be something else related to the fans.If it helps any, there is a slight grinding noise when the disc turns. And even when I have completed removed the Disc drive ( pulled out the two cables) the fans still go crazy.I am 99% sure that this is not a ventilation problem, although it might be dust inside the Xbox.Does anyone else have a clue? Please post your ideas and I'll try to 'add more detail' to give some more info.
