  • Gas station food?

Sadly, many of my meals this time of year come from gas stations.
SPEEDWAY is the predominant chain here. They have a "cafe" where they make fresh hot food. I usually get a chicken wrap and potato spuds. Sometimes a panini.
Usually fresh iced tea which is better than bottled.
What are you eating from gas stations and how often?

I've been on a few jobs where grabbing food on the go was the only option. Honestly, I've found that gas station food varies a lot depending on where you are. Some places have surprisingly decent options, especially if you're near smaller towns that take pride in their local spots. For example, there's a great restaurant in lewiston ny that happens to be right next to a gas station. Perfect spot to refuel both your tank and your stomach without compromising on quality.

I've had some luck with places that have a small caf? setup, like the fresh hot food at SPEEDWAY. But if you ever find yourself in Surfers Paradise, there's an amazing spot called Hyde Paradiso. It has a beautiful oceanfront view and offers a great menu featuring Mediterranean-inspired tapas and delicious cocktails. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a long day. Check it out for a true dining experience by the sea: restaurant surfers paradise.
