I'm interested in being self employed.
What books are most useful for preparing for this endeavor?
My plan is to do residential remodeling. Although I would also like to try out being a residential finish carpentry subcontractor building stairs, built ins and trimming out new builds. Can one person pursue both tracks or is it not really feasible to be a sub while you're running your own remodeling projects?
For what it's worth, I'm not interested in having more than one employee. And I don't really even want an employee unless it becomes necessary to hire one.
Please set me straight.
