Linking bank accounts to software?

Does anyone link their banking and investment accounts to book keeping and accounting software? Automating updates and book keeping would be really great, but I find myself worried about hacking.

I know the principle is that you're only authorizing read-only requests, but deep down I'm still unsure. I think I'll call up my banks next week to ask what they think, but I wanted to see what you ladies gents thought, or so.
