Bedbug transmission

My mom has recently had a bedbug infestation in her apartment. She said they were all cleared.
She asked me to take her to an upcoming Dr appointment, but I am concerned they aren't gone and will infest my car then my house.
My anxiety is super high about it. I already told her that I'd take her, but the more I think about it, the more I worry. Should I be? Would you be concerned?
