Any thoughts on Buick Encore(small SUV). I like the Nissan Kicks. It is for my daughter who returned from ASU and needs to work all summer and then take to College in mid August.
Read some very good reviews about the Encore.
Problem is supply. Very few to choose from. Same as the Nissan Kicks.
    Anyone owned an Encore?
    Never owned a Buick myself.

If you’re looking for a small SUV built in South Korea, then I’d take a look at a Hyundai Tucson. I’ve driven some as rentals and like the safety features.

I get the dilemma between the Buick Encore and Nissan Kicks—both are great options, but availability can be tricky! My friend actually had a similar issue when they were looking for a small SUV for their daughter. They ended up checking out Used cars Ocala and found a great deal on a well-maintained Buick Encore there. The car has been fantastic, super reliable, and perfect for city driving and longer trips. My friend's daughter loves it, and it’s been a solid choice for both work and college commuting.

The Buick Encore is a solid choice, especially for a small SUV. It offers a comfortable ride, decent fuel efficiency, and a relatively upscale interior for its class. It's a good fit for someone heading to college, as it’s compact yet spacious enough for daily use, with a smooth driving experience. However, as you mentioned, supply can be limited, which makes finding the right model a challenge. Before finalizing your purchase, it's a good idea to get a car history report to ensure you're getting a well-maintained vehicle. The Nissan Kicks is also a great option, especially for its value, modern tech features, and excellent fuel economy. Both are suitable for a first car, with the Encore offering a bit more refinement and the Kicks excelling in practicality. If you're leaning toward the Encore, be patient and keep an eye out for inventory as it becomes available!
