  • Boat lift bunk length

When I bought our home six years ago, the boat was already in the boathouse on slings. All is well but want to convert to a cradle lift in order to have guide posts, but I do not know how long the bunk boards need to be. My pontoon boat is a 26-year-old 25' with 115HP on the back. I am guessing that they need to be 16 '- 20' with full support of the stern and some overhang of the nosecones and tube.

How long are your bunk boards as compared to your pontoon length?

    Thanks!

I think as long as the centers are covered (center weight) you'd be good!

I had a similar issue a while back and ended up switching to a floating dock system. It made things so much easier, especially with fluctuating water levels. If you're looking for a sturdy and convenient option, check out ezdocklongisland.com. Their docks are easy to set up and maintain, and they hold up well even in rough conditions.
